Delete and outgrabe

Per the OED's definition of "outgrabe", I honored both classes of votes by (a) deleting the article, and (b) emitting a strange noise as I did so.

  intr. A nonsense word; (most frequently) to emit a strange noise.
 In quot. 1903 used trans. to mean outdo (cf. OUT- 18a).
 The text of quot. 1855 also occurs in the first verse of ’Jabberwocky’ in Through the Looking-Glass (1871) i. 21.

Since we have UTF-8 support in usernames switched on (or has it been switched off again?), you should not only consider the spelling "JlP" but also "JІP", "JIΡ", "JIР", any combination thereof, and maybe even others :-) Lupo 10:54, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

JIP-- Thank you for your comments on my RfA. I know the past haunts everybody, and not everyone will believe me, but I have changed. Since this is the main thing concerning my RfA, what would be an appropriate time to wait after a personal attack before trying for adminship? I do have a desire to by a sysop, but no desire to abuse any power. How long will it be before I can convince you I will not make any personal attacks? Deciduous

I was combing through my Contributions, so as to properly construct answers to the Three Questions, when I noticed that, in closing the debate for Deciduous Trees (mythology), you specified that you don't know what "deciduous" means.

It refers to trees that shed their leaves in autumn (as opposed to evergreens, which keep them all year round). DS 21:54, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

What a wonderful thing to see your comment on BD's page! I am so fascinated by other languages. The vowel and consonant patterns really stand out. Another thing I love about Finnish is the looong words and use of vowels. When you only speak one language fluently, it is still amazing to see how words like "englanninkielisessä" stand out. (Now that is a fabulous word.)
