JIP, have you considered searching for sources to beef up your translated articles before you put them in mainspace? I suspected this company might have been covered in some newspaper articles, but I am not at all well equipped to search in Finnish, plus Finnish newspapers seem to be aggressively paywalled. Can you confirm that this Helsingin Sanomat article from the 1990s indicates that Pizzataxi offered delivery? If so, that can be added to the article, but I can only see the first two paragraphs, about a British company delivering toilet paper ... Yngvadottir (talk) 09:20, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- I originally moved this discussion to the archive as a routine measure after I had received thirty automated notifications about old templates I had created in 2007. I have now moved this discussion back to my talk page. Anyway, no, the newspaper story you cited does not seem to have anything to do with Pizzataxi. It does not seem to mention the company at all, instead it tells about a British company delivering toilet paper. I have a paid subscription to Helsingin Sanomat but still can't see more than two paragraphs of the story, so it appears that's all there is. It looks like the use of the word pizzataksi in the headline is just a parallel to home delivery in general. This is supported by the spelling difference: pizzataksi with a ks in the newspaper story and Pizzataxi with an x in the company name. JIP | Talk 22:10, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, that's a pity. But it does suggest either that the pizza place did deliveries or that it was named as a pun. Can you find anything else in searching the newspaper, so that that or any other referenced point can be put in the article? I joined Wikipedia later than you did, and was a slow and steady article creator who ping-ponged around subjects, but I did do a number of translations over many years, and that usually entailed doing my own search for references, whether or not the original article had any (often I had to retrieve those via Wayback or find their new URLs, sometimes simply because I'm in a different country). Unfortunately, as you may have figured out, businesses and products are held to a particularly high standard these days, so to save this one will require a couple of extended independent news articles in addition to the announcements of its sale, or a large number of articles evaluating it as a place to eat/delivery service. If it happened to be a pioneer of pizza delivery in Finland, that would have been a good point for shaking loose such articles. (I really can't read Finnish, so I built articles like Fabianinkatu 17 from the ground up.) Yngvadottir (talk) 23:05, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

JIP, I had a look at the German page and saw that the reference there is really about the World Bodypainting Festival, another article started by you, almost 3 years earlier. A search for sources also turned up only articles about the festival. The festival article is well developed. So I wouldn't feel good about removing the prod, and I don't think the association article would survive AfD. But rather than lose its information, I think I'm going to redirect it to the festival, merging in some info; I see the association is already mentioned there with a reference to their own website.
