Hi Jacqui. Welcome to wikipedia. I'm coming in response to your comments that Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gulfside United Methodist Assembly. There's a few things about wikipedia that you should know. First, in order to sign your name automatically on talk pages, type ~~~~. Wikipedia automatically converts that to a signature with a link to your page. Second, the Article for Deletion procedure may seem a little harsh to you, and the nomination of Gulfside a bit insensitive. But please don't take offense. If you hang out there for a while, you'll see that many truly insignificant churches get articles started about them that have to be deleted. They fail the guidelines (which you can see at WP:ENC and WP:NOT), they should be deleted. The nominator, in good faith, may merely have misunderstood. I'd like to add my welcome to that of Bucketsofg. One of the unfortunate things about wikipedia is that since anyone can edit articles, it is the target for a lot of stuff that falls below even our standards. As a result there is a group of users who watch new articles being created and nominate those for deletion that seem to not meet our guidelines. Sometimes this is harsh and good articles get nominated for deletion; I also would prefer to make it mandatory for experienced editors to contact new editors such as yourself to offer support and advice before proposing someone's first article for deletion. (But that'll never happen.)
So, you should read the guidelines on Notability and Verifiability. If you believe your church meets the guideline of notability, please state in the article why it is noteworthy. For verifiability, please provide some information from outside wikipedia (such as newspaper articles or books) that verify the noteworthiness. You should also strive for a neutral, encyclopedic tone of writing, which is sometimes hard to do if you are close to a subject. (Although this is less important as if you provide some verification, others will usually come along to clean up the style).
It would be great to have a picture of the church to go with the article. Somewhere on the help pages link below is probably a tutorial on uploading images.

Jacqui, I want to apologize for the haste in my AfD on your article. Sometimes reviewing the unmitigated nonsense that pops up here means that I make decisions based on a quick review. I like to believe that I am more right that wrong. But that is no consolation to an editor when I am wrong. I had no intent of bad faith in the nomination, but it was a mistake.
