Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Mentoring one of your students

Oceanski's article, Broadband universal service, has been nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Broadband universal service because it's primarily a fork of National Broadband Plan (United States). I agree, they are currently pretty similar. Normally I'd just reccomend that the creator of the second article fold it into the first article. However, I understand that Oceanski only gets credit if he creates a "new" article? Do you have advice for Oceanski on how the two articles could be differentiated? Thanks for leaving the message on my talk page. You probably want to post at the deletion discussion page. The way these work is that once someone has nominated an article for deletion, discussions about that deletion should take place on that deletion discussion page. The way I phrased that sounds a little stilted, but basically it's an attempt to keep things aboveboard so that there's transparency in whatever happens, so that interested parties aren't left out of any discussions that result. Leaving a message on the talk pages of interested parties informing them that the discussion is taking place is a voluntary courtesy (which people usually do). Usually, that would be the article creator or people who have substantially contributed to the article or something. RHaworth wouldn't have any reason to connect you with the article and Oceanski probably wouldn't think to involve you, so I thought I'd let you know about the discussion that was taking place. :) Banaticus (talk) 05:50, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
