January 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Im Yoona and Kim Hyo-yeon, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. 92.40.33.151 (talk) 12:37, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Im Yoona, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 92.40.33.151 (talk) 04:30, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Im Yoona, Girls' Generation, and f(x) (band). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.) 92.40.33.151 (talk) 20:24, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SNSD Members' Rapping[edit]

Just as SNSD's Yuri and Hyoyeon ONCE rapped for the cover of Wonder Girls' Tell Me, and also they all had rapping LINES during their new song, The Boys, a group's rapper ALWAYS raps, that's their role, SNSD is a group of vocalists. F(x)'s Amber sings, but her main role is rapping, she is the only one who has an actual rapping section, they aren't semi-sung rap lines that are divided the same way normal lines would, like in The Boys, just like Wonder Girls' Yoobin is also a rapper, so is 2PM's Taecyeon, and SHINee's Minho. SNSD had rap lines, like Ke$ha's "rapping", but you don't call that rap do you? Then how would SNSD's song be a rap song? Please, do not delete their date of birth as that is an actual section which can't be altered and isn't a matter of fan opinion, if you wish to add a new section, learn how to do it and add a new column. Please, keep editing away as you wish, but do always keep in mind maturity, relevance and respect. Thank you!

Please, if you want to stubbornly add a new column with biased information, next time, learn how to add a new column and don't delete an existing column that contains correct truthful unbiased information. Thank you Chocolat ≈ Dubulge (Chat Me Up) 14:08, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You can message me back on my own talk page by clicking on the "Chat Me Up" link, then clicking on "New Section" to start a new topic there. I'm sorry to say, but because there are so many confusions with the use of positions, and constant edits made by the many different users, because some think someone is the main vocalist, and the other isn't, and some think someone is the main rapper and all of that, when SNSD is not a group with an official rapper, when Visual is not an actual position, when "the youngest" a.k.a. magnae isn't a position either, but people insist on trying it out and editing again, so it was decided by another user who seems to have somewhat more respect that the section would be deleted altogether. To be honest, I personally would like for there to be a section for their positions, but because this positions, though I always knew them and was aware of them, SM Ent. never released news or profiles, officially, that could be used as references to their positions, so it's all theoretically fan-made POV's. Therefore, that section is not added. If we could find an official source for that, and people could cooperate with maturity, then that section would be there, but until then, we'll have to keep it out. Please, use the talk page for discussion, not the comments on the article editing. Either way, don't add the information until discussion is made would be a more accurate move, if you look at SNSD's article talk page, you'll see there are already discussions on this topic and they usually result in....deleting the section. Hey JOFDK. This has nothing to do about whether you have "rights" to edit or not. Your edits on the SNSD member positions will continue to be reverted, unless a reliable published source is found - per Wikipedia:Verifiability. If you look throughout the history of the article, various fans have attempted to weigh in their speculation with no agreement among them. The only thing really to do is leave it out, since it provides no factual insight into the group. Without SM Entertainment explicitly stating their positions (which would never happen because there aren't any besides the leader), there really isn't any way to consolidate this.
Even if other groups continue to mention positions, none of it is factual or cited correctly. It is largely up to the editor on those pages to patrol this though. This isn't because we hate SNSD or single them out. Rather we want to maintain a page that best matches Wikipedia's policies for a good article. Evaders99 (talk) 09:21, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

February 2012[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Girls' Generation. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 03:48, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

re: Reply[edit]

Actually I haven't been reverting any of your edits recently. I certainly cannot patrol every page to clean them all up. Rather, you should consider how many times people have change positions on those pages. The fact is, no one is correct - they cannot cite any factual source, so everyone speculates and cannot agree to a position. Is that improving Wikipedia at all? No, they aren't actually improving any actual content that matters - it is just fans fighting over each other's opinions. I'd rather not get involved. April 2012[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Girls' Generation. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 23:02, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Girls' Generation. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 23:03, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Im Yoona, you may be blocked from editing. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 23:04, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning.
