Introductory tips to Wikipedia[edit]

Hello, JP4Jackpot. Welcome to the Wonderful Wizard of Wikipedia! A few things to help you out:

  1. To change the color of the text, put <font color = ", the color, and ">. before the text. To change back to the original color, type after the text, "</font>."
  2. To italicize text, place two apostrophes behind and two apostrophes in front of the text, or type <i>. Apply three on each side for a boldface effect, or do <b>. To underline, do the 'u' similarly. Remember that if you use <>, put a slash before i, b, or u to cease the text effect.
  3. To sign an entry in an Article talk or User talk page, always sign with 3 to 5 of these (~). Only and always on talk pages should you do this. 3 is for your user and user talk pages, 4 is for those plus a timestamp, and 5 is for just a timestamp. I would think that 4 are widely preferred over 3 or 5.

I am glad that you have become a Wikipedian! Good luck, BlueCaper (talk) 15:15, 13 September 2008 (UTC) (P.S.: I used 4 to sign this section! Oh, and you can click "edit this page" without changing anything just to view what the authors did to change the text! Bye!)[reply]

I checked if cheats could be put on Commons[edit]

Hersfold said "no" and gave me a clear, polite reason. I also asked if he knew where a certain question page was. He said there are several different ones, but the one I meant was similar to his suggestions. He was actually quite helpful! My temper is cooled, and I actually think that it is possible that he would be a great friend! A word of advice: If you need help, go to him: he's practically all-knowing! He is kind but firm in his messages of "no." See you, BlueCaper (talk) 00:44, 19 October 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Role account[edit]

Hi, I have started a thread at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Role_account. It appears that, acting in good faith, you and a couple of friends have created what we call a role account. Although this is not quite the same as a sockpuppet account, it is also a policy violation and the account will probably be blocked soon. You may wish to participate at the noticeboard thread. • Ignore that, JP4J. I took care of it all. -Love you, BlueCaper (talk) 01:04, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is spelled "linguiça." -BlueCaper (talk) 13:34, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
