Please use inline cites![edit]

Hi , thanks for expanding those dragonfly articles; they certainly need it. However, I noticed you didn't use a single inline citation in your edits. Providing a list of references for the article is pretty much useless if the reader can't see which one refers to which statement, thus inline references are pretty much indispensable. Usually, if they are missing, other editors are left high and dry and can't connect the named refs with statements, but luckily you have just been around and done those edits, so you should know which comes from what :) Can I please ask you to go back to those articles and add inline citations using ref tags after each section that is traceable to a different source? This link gives some instructions, and you can look at basically any other article to see how it's done. If you have any questions, let me know and I will be happy to help. Hi , thanks for starting to do inline cites! I saw you also asked about specifics at the Teahouse. I have done some edits at Syncordulia_serendipator to demonstrate how to use repeated inline cites - basically, you give a name when first giving the reference, then when you repeat it you just state the name again. I have also edited structure ('Description' should come before 'Distribution and habitat') and style (we aim for complete sentences and try to avoid bullet-type statements like 'Medium size.'). Happy editing! -- Elmidae 10:23, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
