Conflict of Interest
[edit]I note that in your protection request on Jasmine Villegas you said that you had set the article "per her Manager". I'm assuming that this means that you are employed, directly or indirectly by Villegas or her promotions team. Please note that per our conflict of interest policy, you probably should not be editing her article directly. The problem, as is clearly evidenced in that article's history, is that editors with a COI generally are more interested in following the direction of their employer than following Wikipedia rules. Perhaps Villegas/her manager is unaware, but the Wikipedia article on Villegas cannot be under your control. Rather, we have rules and policies that govern information in article (the most important at the moment are the prohibition on violating copyright, and the need for neutrality); beyond that, we work together to collaboratively edit articles. This is not her private website, the contents of which can be dictated by her team. So, if you do wish to continue giving input on the article, you should go to Talk:Jasmine Villegas and raise issues there.
If you do continue to edit contrary to policy, though, you will be blocked. Qwyrxian (talk) 22:37, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
