Thanks for Peter Joseph article edit

[edit]

Thanks for your edit on the Peter Joseph article. There has been a problem with wikipedia:Ownership of articles in the past. With all editors working together we can create balanced neutral articles. Jonpatterns (talk) 15:32, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Editing policy

[edit]

If you make personal attacks on Wikipedia you can be blocked from editing. Things like We have biased trolls like Earl King trying to manipulate whatever they can. are personal attacks. This link is the diff of that [1]. I suggest you refactor that comment and a bit more of what you said in your recent post. You do not do any favors to yourself as far as making an impression or having influence when personal attacks are used. Stick to content and not other editors. Earl King Jr. (talk) 08:33, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on admin page

[edit]

Protocol forbids you to comment in the voting section (notwithstanding jonpattern did the same). Please move your comment to the discussion section, and tone it down to statements of fact, not accusation. The last thing we need now is a round of more accusations when Earl's accusatory conduct is under examination. Grammar'sLittleHelper (talk) 07:11, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually protocol demands that you strike through inappropriate remarks, as already suggested on the noticeboard. Otherwise it is impossible for others to follow the thread of remarks following. Neither Sfarney|Grammar nor myself should be using your talk to advise you what to write. I am only doing so here to remedy misinformation.Pincrete (talk) 12:06, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Pincrete, as you well know because you research things so carefully, I wrote the above to this page more than an hour before you responded to Wilson's comment on the ANI page. Grammar'sLittleHelper (talk) 05:47, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at WP:ANI. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. The allegation that User:Earl King Jr. and User:MONGO are sock-puppets of each other is a serious personal attack on both of them and absurd. If you really believe that, take it to WP:SPI, but it appears that you are just yelling "sock" to "win" a dispute. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:20, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice: General Sanctions on all Zeitgeist Movement articles

[edit]

Please read this notification carefully:
A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Zeitgeist Movement.
The details of these sanctions are described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.

A tag has been placed on File:Peter Joseph IMDB legal photo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. "Everything requires discussion"??

This is Wikipedia, not a private club. We operate on a standard WP policy, and nothing else. So show the policy.[2] Grammar'sLittleHelper (talk) 06:10, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
To enforce community authorised sanctions, and for personal attacks, edit warring, past sockpuppetry, and generally acting as a single purpose account in a disruptive manner (as per community consensus on WP:AN), as described at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Zeitgeist Movement,
you have been blocked from editing for 1 year. You are welcome to make useful contributions once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  · Salvidrim! ·  17:40, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder to administrators: Community sanctions are enacted by community consensus. In order to overturn this block, you must either receive the approval of the blocking administrator or consensus at a community noticeboard (you may need to copy and paste their statement to a community noticeboard).
