The page Kuredu Island Resort has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Help request

[edit]

I have been trying to add an informational page about Kuredu Island Resort in the Maldives since it has a very vivid history and a lot of cool stuff happening around it. every time i post it it gets deleted because it is flagged as an advert. this is not my intention, but i have tried writing about everything around it, such as environmental issues around the Maldives and so on and it still gets deleted. does anyone want to help me and tell me how to publish this or tell me what i am doing wrong. it is not meant as an advert but purely informational. thank you so much! jacob

Hi Jacob! There are a number of reasons the page may be seen as advertising or promotional. Try reading up on our guidelines on neutrality and what kind of wording is acceptable. I would suggest drafting the article first. Try the article wizard. It's a good guide on writing articles and once you've read through it you'll be given the option to submit the article for review. This means that volunteer editors can review it for you and if there's any problems with it they can let you know and it can be fixed up instead of deleted. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. OohBunnies! Leave a message 05:47, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
