Copyediting request

[edit]

Hi. Would you be interested in taking a look at the Insane Clown Posse article and performing a copyedit on it? (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 19:59, 16 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Welcome

Hey dude! I'm glad you registered. I'm sure you'll have no problem assimilating into the Wikipedia community. However, I've been here for years and I'm still finding cool new stuff Here's a list of some very handy pages for users of every experience level:

  • Wikipedia:Manual of Style - An extremely comprehensive guide for every technical aspect of editing. If you ever have a question about using dates, abbreviations, links, headings, quotations, or whatever, this is the place with the answers.
  • Wikipedia:Community portal - The best place to find out about new projects, proposals, backlogs, milestones, and more. I check it every once in a while when I'm feeling bored.
  • Wikipedia:Citations - A lot of new users are scared off because they don't want to deal with citing sources. However, once you've got the syntax down (which should take you all of 5 seconds), it's a no-brainer.

Also, consider making a nice user page for yourself so you can talk about your interests and show off your accomplishments. You can take a look at mine for a ridiculously perfect example. --Cryptic C62 · Talk 16:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Very welcome!

I noticed your comment about the individual members of The Derek Trucks Band, and seriously agree with you. If you mean to start a page on any of them, please do. I seem to be the only one willing to edit any of the Derek Trucks article, or that of his band. (And the Allman Brothers pages are atrocious--) I'll help in any capacity that I can. There is already an article begun for Scrapomatic, which also features Mike Mattison, the vocalist for the DTB. They often open for them, too. --leahtwosaints (talk) 16:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
