gastronomy[edit]

For food topics, see Category:Food and drink and note that there are currently 20 subcategories filled with articles, such as Category:Ceremonial food and drink and Category:Food safety. — Reinyday, 03:29, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Reinyday! I was perusing Gourmet and found an ad as a link. No other info, just a product ad. Is it appropriate to delete such a link? Also, my user page is that meant to be a profile of me that I'm offering for other users to review? Jacquelinec 07:25, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Jacquelinec[reply]

  • Jacquelinec, yes, removing an ad is a great idea! Just be sure to explain the reason in your edit summary. Your user page is yours to do with as you please. You can describe yourself, describe your interests, create a list of links that you find useful or that you think others will find useful, etc. Have fun and remember you can always change it later, but every change will be recorded in the edit history (the "history" tab at the top of the page). Please let me know if you have any other questions! — Reinyday, 17:05, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Hi Jacquelinec. I have another comment. Linking to articles by yourself is generally frowned upon and if the bulk of your edits are to add links to gourmetfood.suite101.com then someone will block you from editing. Try adding content to the articles themselves. It sounds like you have a lot to add. — Reinyday, 21:45, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey: Just noticed the Chorizo article needs citations/sources. I am able to provide a great one, and added minor points to the current piece. Couldn't find how to add a cite/source section? I did find the style manual/cite format section. Still a bit daunting for new contributor (what's DOI, eg?) Thanks in advance.
