Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Jaden24! I have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome! Jim1138 (talk) 05:34, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Creating an article

[edit]

Here's a good place to start: Wikipedia:Starting an article. My recommendation is to use a "sandbox" you can create a page in your user page such as User:Jaden24/My first article, (it's good to put a link to it in User:Jaden24 so you can find it) then it usually gets left alone unless it really violates policy (spam, vandalism, attack articles, etc.). When you think it is ready, you can wp:moving a page to "article space", i.e. the location of regular articles. It is usually good to get someone's more familiar with Wikipedia if it will succeed. I often click the "edit" button on pages I like, see how they are written, and maybe copy chunks to my article and reformat it to what I want. Hope this helps! Happy editing!
