You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article James Antoniou has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DJ Clayworth (talk) 18:34, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request for use of Preview, edit summaries, minor edits flag

[edit]

Hi, Jagoperson

I have seen you work on the Rihanna discography article and it's nice to have you working on the project. I've noticed you tend to do a series of edits, sometimes just to move a table or two, and I'd like to suggest you make use of a few of the features offered by WP, which could help you get along better with other editors here. Here's my little list:

  • Please use the "Show preview" button to check your work so far, before you commit the change with "Save page" (the buttons are right next to each other). This lets you check what you're doing, enables you to see if you've messed up a table (all too easy to do), and helps remind you what you've forgotten. When you want to reposition a table, for example, you don't have to (1) delete it, (2) Save page, (3) insert it, and (4) Save page. You can just cut, paste, preview, and then go on to Save page or keep making other changes before saving.
  • Please use the edit summaries. Providing a summary gives the rest of an idea of what you're doing, why you're doing it, or where you got the info. The edit summary field is just above the "Save page" and "Show preview" buttons. When you're not always saving halfway through the procedure, you can include an edit summary like "Moved Charity singles to be *before* Single certifications, where it makes more sense", or similar. Then everyone knows what you're up to, and it doesn't look like you're some vandal blanking or dumping whole chunks of info.
  • Please mark minor edits as minor. Changing the width of a column (and adjusting it back because you forgot to Preview), changing formatting of text or deleting a duplicated word are all minor edits which not everyone wants to see in their Watchlist or in the article's Revision history. All you have to do is click to place a check in the checkbox labeled "This is a minor edit".

Please try these features out and keep up your good work. Thanks! — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 20:13, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Rihanna 2006 Tour and others

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Rihanna 2006 Tour, Rihanna Believe Tour. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rihanna 2006 Tour for Rihanna 2006 Tour, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rihanna Believe Tour for Rihanna Believe Tour. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Paloma Faith Tour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how/why this warrants a dedicated article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 18:41, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Izzy Sgambellone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 19:27, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A couple of useful tips

[edit]

I just applied the second half of the fix I think you were trying to effect to the footnotes for the Big Weekend show in the Last Girl on Earth Tour article. It would have been easier if you had explained what you were trying to achieve with your related edit. Some of what you do looks like vandalism, because you don't explain your intentions. Please use an edit summary with every revision.

Also, I notice that you have a tendency to make several small edits all in a row, so as to achieve some slightly larger goal. For example, yesterday you made a string of 14 edits in 25 minutes to the Last Girl on Earth Tour page (with only one edit summary), and the end results didn't require that many edits. For example, in one edit (the one with the edit summary), you deleted the "Tour incident" section. In the next edit, you pasted it back in somewhere else. You could have done this all in one edit, and checked your work, and then used the edit summary to tell us why you were moving it, and then saved. Also, your numerous edits to add, size, resize, position, and reposition one image could have been done all in one shot, with you saving only what you were happy with at the end. My tip (and request): please make use of the Show preview function before you save. (The preview helps you check your edit summary, too.

I hope this helps you be even more constructive here. Good luck! — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 21:13, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Using citation templates

[edit]

Hi, I just saw that you posted on your userpage that you need help citing sources. It can be quite complicated, so have a look at Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners with citation templates, which is a short beginner's guide. There are other helpful links at the bottom of that page, but you could and up with a lot to read. I also also recommend using the gadget called RefToolbar (I use it all the time). Remember, if you ever need help in future, you can add the template {{helpme}} to your talk page and someone should come along to help (remember to put your question below the template before you save the page). Hi. People (including yourself) have been trying to add a section about the critical reception to the Last Girl on Earth Tour article, which is fine and appropriate. Unfortunately, the text that is getting added consists of the wholesale copying of complete reviews from two Web sites. This comprises a clear copyright violation. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Puccino's, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:Katy b.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Katy b.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Rihanna's seventh studio album. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at This article is in an incubator. – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. AARONTALK 22:22, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
