Information icon Hello, I'm Vin09. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bhimavaram, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Do not add all the list of colleges or schools. Provide references and write in a paraphrase instead of a list. (only important institutions) Vin09 (talk) 10:09, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Vin09. Your recent edit to the page Bhimavaram appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This edit is not justified. Bhimavaram is a city as per this ref Vin09 (talk) 10:14, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Listings

[edit]

Do not copy paste those from a non official site which is not a proper source for reference. If you want to add them. Add only only important institutions that to in a phrase form. See Vijayawada page for example.--Vin09 (talk) 10:24, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Bhimavaram, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Vin09 (talk) 10:26, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. Thank you Vin09. I'll make sure I add more reliable information from now on. Also, Bhimavaram is a Class-1 town according to 2011 census.(http://censusindia.gov.in/towns/ap_towns.pdf) That other source you've sent is from same website. But I think it all goes back to the definition of the word 'city'. In In a country as big as India, a settlement of 1 and a half lakh people is not very significant; so it can still be categorized as a town. Also, it is not a Municipal Corporation like Vijayawada or Rajahmundry. It's just a Municipality, so I think my edit is justified.Jaichad (talk) 10:38, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaichad: The ref of yours is from 2001 Census (scroll down and see footnotes). Check it. As per 2011 Census any settlement with a population of 1 1akh and above is a city.--Vin09 (talk) 10:42, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes! I overlooked that little detail. Thank you very much, Vin09. I'm now finally convinced that my little hometown changed into a city.Jaichad (talk) 10:54, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaichad:I saw your homepage just now. I'm here to help you out if you need any help.--Vin09 (talk) 10:56, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Vin09: I will definitely need help, thank you. I want to improve the quality of Andhra Pradesh's content in general. Just let me know whenever I've committed a faux pas.
