Welcome

[edit]

Hello Jameshorsfield and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Atlantic306 (talk) 17:45, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, where have I vandalised? Jameshorsfield (talk) 18:06, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay sorry I won’t self promote, sorry for the inconvenience Jameshorsfield (talk) 18:39, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to The Bewdley School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Stop doing this Meters (talk) 20:19, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He is not a celebrity but known in the school hence why I added him to this list Jameshorsfield (talk) 20:21, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Read the links. We don't list people simply because people in the school know who they are. And i suggest that you read WP:EW also. You said you would stop, but you didn't. If you continue adding these non-notables you will likely end up blocked. Meters (talk) 20:24, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And read WP:RS. Urban dictionary is not a reliable source. Meters (talk) 21:41, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again bro Jameshorsfield (talk) 21:43, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
