Hi Jammo! Thank you for your contributions to the profiles of various online poker players. Although it's too late, I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!

Many of us suspect that Jamie Burke and you are one and the same. If I'm wrong, tell me in my Talk page or in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jamie Burke. The article needs reliable sources and references so that it passes our inclusion guideline for biographies. Once you provide this, I'm happy to vote for its inclusion. If I'm right, then please read Wikipedia:Autobiography regarding writing about oneself in Wikipedia. Tell us and we'll gladly move your bio to your user page.

Again, welcome, Jammo. Again, if you have any question, contact me in my Talk page. -- Perfecto 00:30, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial links[edit]

Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. See the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. andy 15:52, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use Wikipedia for advertising, you will be blocked from editing. (Also, I left you a note at the top of this page. Please reply.) -- Perfecto 22:04, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I reviewed your edits against your note and mine and fail to see what you're talking about. You have never replaced a link with another. Perhaps you were not signed in? I have NEVER said "Spam" in ANY user talk page, so I'm confused with what you mean. Which edit do you refer to? -- Perfecto 18:00, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your use of Template:Inuse[edit]

All the pages I posted end up with a Hendon Mob or Poker Babes link for further information on the subject... they actually title it 'Poker Babes ....' yet if I add a link to a site that is relevant I have you deleting it. Who has made you an authority on poker and why? If you don't have an answer to this I suggets you go busy yourself else where.

This is a creative project where people add knowledge and information not destroy and delete. Karma will hit your ass very soon buddy!

Please stop altering articles in a random way, adding links to a very low content site, ignoring the consistent style of related articles, creating duplicate articles or those with mispelled names, stealing copryrighted content, and otherwise making a mess for others to clean up. Please spend some time learning Wikipedia policies and guidelines. 2005 20:24, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you'e been creating a lot of new articles. Most of them begin with Template:Inuse, and a few have had the tag on them for days. That template is usually on articles for a few hours at the longest, when editors are making repeated edits to a page and edit conflicts may occur when others try to edit. It is not for marking articles "incomplete" or trying to prevent other editors from editing them. When you leave {{inuse}} tags on articles for days on end and make no edits, you might give others the impression that you're claiming that you "own" the articles, which is not how Wikipedia works.

Also, you may want to take a look at Wikipedia:How to edit a page, which will show you how to create links and formatted text so your articles are not just chunks of text. Thanks, and happy editing. sɪzlæk [ +t, +c ] 09:35, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)

Questionable usage of the major edit template[edit]

I notice you're placing ther major edit template onto the articles below. How many articles could you possibly edit at once in a major way?

Almost every article you've edited. Why are you doing this? -- Longhair | Talk 09:39, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thank you. I notice the template being removed. Using this template may be seen as effectively locking the article as mentioned by Szyslak above. The major edit template is usually only used temporarily so edit conflicts don't occur. Thanks for your contributions. -- Longhair | Talk 09:49, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
No problems. Your articles are looking good. I'm happy to help where I can. Apologies for sounding a little alarming earlier. Major edit is a template we don't see out in the wild all that often, and it usually raises a few eyebrows when used for more than a day. -- Longhair | Talk 14:16, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Articles for Deletion[edit]

Don't remove an Articles for Deletion header, as this is considered vandalism. User:Zoe|(talk) 23:30, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Hi Jammo! I too have been watching with general approval at your adding of lots of Poker-related articles. If you could use the Edit Summaries, though, that would be very, very useful. Thanks! Batmanand 17:08, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
