Claude E. Welch Jr.

[edit]

Hello there. Your greatly expanded version of Claude E. Welch Jr. contains large quantities of text that seemly have no references, or they are referenced at the bottom. WP:BLP gives any editor a free hand in immediately removing unreferenced content from a article about a living person, or where there may be a reference, but it is not placed in-line to show that the assertion can be verified by X exact reference (you have a few refs at the bottom lying around, can they be added as inline references?). In addition I have fixed an admitted pet hate of mine: section headers Formatted Like This, MOS:HEAD dictates that all section headers should be in sentence case. Thanks, !dave 15:34, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi "dave" and thank you for quickly pointing out how I need to edit the entry. I have noted that section headers are all sentence case! I will go into the article now to identify unreferenced material and to check if I have references for some of them. I appreciate so much your comments and help! Hi from the Teahouse. I've left a few extra thoughts there for you to consider, too. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 19:37, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How to address alert: "Reads more like a story than an encyclopedia (August 2014)

[edit]

Hi everyone, and thank you for guidance on editing. I am looking at Claude E Welch because I worked on his son's (Claude E Welch Jr) page. I see that in August 2014 the article was tagged as having multiple issues. I corrected the orphan issue, but I do not know how to handle the "reads more like a story than an encyclopedia entry." It seems fine to me, but of course I would not delete the issue without asking for advice.Janetaliaferro68 (talk) 18:08, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
