I've deleted the talk page. The ad (or rather, blatant spam) was still visible in the talk page history. It's no longer visible now to non-admins. Yes, I'd suggest letting an admin know when you find something of this sort. It does little to assist in expanding the article in any way and is better off removed. Thanks for your help cleaning up :) -- Longhair 03:39, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perth Convn Centre[edit]

What's the exact article name? Perth Convention Exhibition Centre? Got it. Watching... -- Longhair 05:28, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's no problem at all. If I can help real editors continue working, and stamp on a pest at the same time, I'm happy to help out. It looks as though this vandal has moved on, but I'll keep an eye on things all the same. Thanks-- Longhair 05:32, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That article hasn't been hit for a while either. If a vandal returns, especially after a block, and also if they're using another ip address, that's a good time to alert an admin for assistance -- Longhair 05:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say as you've got it: Fremantle, Western Australia -- I@n 05:56, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply re West Australian[edit]

Thanks :) Most of the articles I work on are fairly uncontroversial - such as geographic ones and the like - but I can imagine when we get to the West Australian one there'll be some fun to be had. :| Orderinchaos78 05:59, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Busy?[edit]

You seem to be pretty busy today; seems like everyone has a reason to drop a message on your talk page. I don't want to be left out.... Snottygobble 06:02, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Weight of Mundaring, Western Australia[edit]

Wikipedia:WikiProject_Australia/Assessment#Quality_scale says that places are to be classified as mid to low. Since I'm editing a bunch of articles in a row within the Shire of Mundaring it was a mistake. Sorry, Comte0 10:05, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply from my talk page[edit]

What do you mean? Oh, don't expect my replies as I'm off to bed now. Imoeng 13:32, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Denny King[edit]

Do you think he was notable enough to be red-linked here? Snottygobble 01:00, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I meant you. He's a west coast Tasmania person. I guess from your response you've never heard of him, so I'll unlink him. Snottygobble 01:50, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
After finding this, I've decided that he is notable enough to warrant an article. Snottygobble 01:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake; I realised his tin mine was in the south west corner, but I've never been to Tasmania, and wouldn't have known whether this was considered "west coast" or "south coast" or "south west coast" or what. Thanks for the info. Snottygobble 02:05, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POTD[edit]

I actually saw it on your page a few hours ago and posted a note at WT:CRIC. Thanks. -- I@n 08:21, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for PID[edit]

Yes you are right and I'm aware of that. I also noticed some portals don't even update the news section, which is very important to be updated. Well, I can say that the Indonesian portal is one of the active portals on Wikipedia, IMHO. Cheers -- Imoeng 11:15, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well cheers, I take that as a compliment. However we should congratulate ourself (as a team), cause we are such one kick as* team! Imoeng 11:24, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Yes, but I'm just impersonating "Do you know..." phrase from the main page. — Indon (reply) — 12:13, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops sorry, I was just saying the "Did you know..." phrase and thank you for correcting the grammar. — Indon (reply) — 12:17, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Krakatoa[edit]

No problems, it doesn't look too bad at the moment but if it picks up you know where to go :) --james(talk) 12:26, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: sig[edit]

Go into your "my preferences" and change your signature to [[User talk:SatuSuro|SatuSuro]]. Make sure the "raw" checkbox is ticked. Save. You're done.
Once you've done that, your signature won't create links to your user page anymore, so your user page's whatlinkshere will be uncluttered by signature links, containing only deliberately made links to your user page. Worth keeping half an eye on I reckon. Snottygobble 01:51, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Freo[edit]

No don't worry - I've got more than enough on my plate. I still haven't tackled the Montebello's yet. Have a nice drive and watch out for any crazed Dockers fans. -- I@n 02:03, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, It sure did rain. Woke me up as well. -- I@n 02:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perth[edit]

I think it looks alright. Snottygobble 02:16, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought so too. A bit tidier if anything. -- I@n 02:18, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, always glad to help keep things clean around here. Canadian-Bacon (contribs) 02:17, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

203.36.44.14[edit]

It was an 11/2 ago. I think they probably went home from school or changed classes now. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 02:56, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

flora ranking[edit]

I've seen claims on flora base(Calm), and theres another site that(link frombaknsia) also ranks. BUt I hate rankings as they are disputable(aka KAL). CALM has supported a lot of books that make similar claims just checking two pocket guides next to PC they have general claims as well. Is this for an article or just curiosity. Gnangarra 00:14, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So an article call Western Australian Flora or similar with a generic "one of the most genetically diverse flora regions" type statement. Gnangarra 03:24, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Preferrable to a regional South Western Australia Flora to start with we can always regionalise subsections in the article then spin off daughter arts as it needed. Gnangarra 03:26, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So we are creating is a supporting article to Western Australia as opposed to a complete article tree on Western AUstralia flora Gnangarra 10:09, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Garratt note[edit]

No apologies needed. I've been trying to clean the article up a bit, and give it more form, so am more than happy to see more info. It is probably worthwhile adding a section on war garratts, which could include the ASG as well as the metre gauge garratts and the Sierra Leone modifications. I'm not sure what you mean by "early Tasmanian garratts" - the class is mentioned at both points in the article where they are mentioned. --Michael Johnson 03:39, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: G'day[edit]

Hi there. It's not generally necessary to remove edits from the history as a result of simple vandalism. If there was something particularly unfortunate in one of the revisions, we could do it, but that's an unusual course of action. -Splash - tk 15:45, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hey have a look at this list, Wittenoom what do you think should this be there? Gnangarra 03:47, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wittenoom Article has had it tacked to the lead as well Gnangarra 03:49, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Re crotty I cant get you any photos to wet there for my liking :) I wont worry about wittenoom being on that list, when I get time i'll alter the list and include alink to Australian sites. Gnangarra 07:50, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perth Zoo[edit]

Thanks, you should have a look at it before I started the current edits. I notice that content looks gastly I'm slowly editing it down but I dont want to loose the latin naming before I can get them into the sections. Gnangarra 10:38, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

when you get five minutes can you have a read, I'm suffering from fried brain its beena rough day :} . This article has a number of cut and paste edits from a previous editor that still need to put into different words. I got to remember when I add picts dont read the article and start cleaning up when brain is fried. Gnangarra 11:14, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GGS[edit]

I've been watching this chap for a while. He hit a Geelong Grammar article earlier. See what I can find this time. Thanks. -- Longhair 12:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User warned. It may be the same vandal I warned earlier at another username. Certainly not edits that are helpful. -- Longhair 12:57, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For some reason (it may purely be a caching issue), I can't seem to revert that article. Can you see my recent edit in the article history? I note my change took effect at another of his targets however, Alvin Garrett. -- Longhair 13:04, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've managed to revert and cleanup Guildford Grammar School. Not sure why it wouldn't roll back as per normal. I'll look into it after a quick coffee and report to WP:AN/I if need be. Something strange going on there with those edits I feel. Let me know if they strike elsewhere again. I've watchlisted all affected articles. -- Longhair 13:13, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Something is bizarre. I think I've cleaned the GGS article entirely. Check before you edit. I think either caching is slowing me up here, or this vandal has found a way to disrupt that I'm not yet aware of. I couldn't revert his edits alone, and had to roll back further, then cleanup the recent personal identifying edit. Is that what you're referring to? -- Longhair 13:16, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Convictism in Western Australia looks fine. It hasn't been hit hard for some 5 hours. I'm watching it now. -- Longhair 13:28, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Kettle on here (finally). I found this recently, timely? Wikipedia:A nice cup of tea and a sit down. ;) -- Longhair 13:28, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
SeanMack? I worked with him on the Fremantle Prison article some time back. Nice guy. -- Longhair 13:36, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Midland[edit]

I changed the sentence you weren't happy about to:
Although attempts have been made to expand the townsite further east, only Midland Gate Shopping Centre exists here. --M W Johnson 07:44, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
