I do not have a paid conflict of interest. I am not or have never been paid for doing any form of work on Wikipedia or ever been paid by Michael Weisman. I spent a great deal of time researching for this project and took greath lengths to research Wiki guidelines and provide factual and acceptable sources for every piece of information that was included. In addition I read the notices and changes made by Yunshui previously and took heart as a new member of Wikipedia. I was under the impression the notice was left because the majority of changes he made applied to quotes of praise and additional color that Yunshi claimed were against Wiki guidelines. I did not add in any content that was removed. The only changes I made since his edits were moving a code link to a photo that was previously posted but deleted due to it still awaiting the photographer sending permission, and changing the words "specialising" to "specializing" and "programmes" to "programs"Jas10010 (talk) 14:23, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reply.

I addressed the “paid conflict of interest” issue, because that was what Yunhui referenced twice as the specific reason for being blocked from editing. To answer your question, Michael Weisman is not a family member, nor someone with whom I socialize. I have never been an employee of his, nor has he been an employee of mine, although we were both employed by the same parent company for 5 months in 2015. I became of an admirer of his during that time when I learned of his history and accomplishments. I created the page of my own volition and my only communication with him regarding the page was to reach out to him for use of photographs. I initially believed he was the person from whom I needed to seek permission and I have since been informed that that is not the case. I have tried since then to obtain the proper permissions from the copyright holders. I sincerely apologize for any confusion the permissions process may have caused and while I did not believe my relationship would be considered a conflict of interest, I apologize if my assumption was wrong. I also regret that I did not understand the intent of Yunhui’s notice as I believed its focus was on what type of editorial content is allowed on a page. If I knew making the two grammatical changes and removing a deleted photo link would have led to being blocked, I surely would not have done so. @Yamla: The block is specifically for a violation of WP:PAID - content in OTRS emails led me to believe that this user was directly employed by the article subject. If that is not the case then any admin is welcome to unblock. We don't block for COI per se, although before I cleaned it up the article on Michael Weisman was verging on the G11-able; consequently I would like to see some sort of plan to address the COI before I'd be willing to lift the block myself. I am respectfully resubmitting this request to be unblocked as I was advised the block was declined because it was in an open state for more than two weeks. I had previously followed up with both the blocker Yunshui and reviewer Yamla as I believed I was awaiting further guidance from them about proceeding to relieve any concerns about a possible conflict of interest and Yunshui's request for some sort of plan to address his concerns. As stated previously, I do not have a paid conflict of interest as I was never paid by anyone to do work on Wikipedia, nor was I ever a paid employer or employee of Michael Weisman. He is neither a family member, nor someone I socialize with, and the page was created on my own volition and my only communication with him regarding the page was to obtain use of photographs. I did admit we were both employed by the same parent company for 5 months in 2015. I did not believe this qualified as a conflict of interest, but as a new member to Wikipedia apologized if I assumed incorrectly and would accept others' belief that this could be perceived as a conflict of interest, and regretted any confusion regarding who the proper copyright holders are for photos that I reached out to. I also apologized for misinterpreting Yunshui's initial message to me as I believed it was guidance regarding editorial content in the post. I would not have made the grammatical changes that I made or removed a link to a photo that was deleted knowing what I know now. I am still very eager to resolve this and address any conflict of interest concerns. I am more than willing to promise to avoid making any editorial/copy changes to the page going forward and instead make any suggestions, if applicable, on the talk page, as Yunshui suggested if this would resolve any concerns. I hope this shows my sincerity to resolve this, eliminate any conflict of interest concerns and that I am working in good faith here, although if more is needed please let me know what that may entail.

I have not seen the OTRS information. I suggest the only people who should consider unblocking are people who have reviewed the OTRS material. If Yunshui has no objections, though, I also have no objections.
