Your submission at Articles for creation: Shari Olefson (attorney)

[edit]

(In reference to the message you left on my talk page)

The reason I declined that page was indeed lack of notability. The Wikipedia policy on notability says that a proposed article should have independent sources that are not by the subject. All of the sources cited in your proposed article were written by the subject of the article. While it is important to have primary sources, secondary sources are also very important. Furthermore, regarding the citation you left on my user page, YouTube channel pages are not considered reliable sources due to their transience. APerson241 (talk) 16:10, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Shari Olefson (attorney) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The only thing I can't find that is actually a third party source is an article about how the subject sued a former employer for unfair dismissal based on gender. While that is interesting, it doesn't make her notable. The article is also rather self-promotional.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Tom Morris (talk) 11:16, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
