question[edit]

How do you "revert edits made by .... to ...." or "revert to revision ...."

What i'm doing right now is just opening an older version, hitting edit, then saving. Are there other options that produce different messages and results? 2nd Piston Honda 22:29, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I use the popups system. Have a look at it's article. Jaxad0127 22:52, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Taliban[edit]

Sorry about that. Earlier in the discussion people said they preferred regime. I did not see the newer additions to the discussion. I will discuss this first and try to come to an agreement before making changes. Or if everyone likes government better, then I guess it stays as government.

Thanks for the heads up.User:Tajik-afghan 05:59, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adding signatures[edit]

I wanted to say that I deleted my comment after I had posted them to super smash brother and someone reverted it. Then you came and signed my comments. Some people don't want to sign their own comments and therefore others should not go around adding who is the one making the comments. If people really want to see who put that, they can go to the history and look it up themselves. So please don't place others signatures. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.20.207.29 (talkcontribs)

It is policy to sign your comments on talk pages. No exceptions. Jaxad0127 18:16, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Need help with a template[edit]

You identified yourself as a good template coder, so I decided to ask you for help.

I have two templates:

I need the first template to display two page names, and the second one to display one. However, when I do this:

  • {{User:Nwwaew/Mediation User Template|page-name|case-page-location}} ~~~~
  • {{User:Nwwaew/Mediation User Template|case-page-location}} ~~~~

...the page names never show up when I use the template.

Could you take a look at the templates and find out what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks! Nwwaew(My talk page) 21:59, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I fixed the problem. It turns out the entire variable needs to be in brackets, not just the number. Thanks anyway! Nwwaew(My talk page) 22:02, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Numbers only work for unnamed attributes. Named ones are named so you can use their name and not have to worry about their order. — Jaxad0127 06:04, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

minor edit not minor[edit]

I don't want to annoy you, but this edit of yours is not a minor edit. I don't really mind, because I'm subscribed to the article, but others might. --Grey 18:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't bother with that field much anymore. I'll try to be better in the future. — Jaxad0127 22:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:28, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
