Types of Atresia
[edit]"2 types of atresia can be recognized: obliterating, in which small follicles are invaded by fibroblast and macrophages, and cystic, in which large follicles are involved and a cavity remains."
I'm honestly not sure where this information came from, as it is also missing a citation and so far, I cannot find anything online about cystic and/ or obliterating follicular atresia. I did find an article stating that there are two different types of atresia, antral and basal, in dairy cows specifically. So I'm not sure if this applies to humans as well. I might just remove completely the sections on cystic and obliterating atresia if I'm not able to find any supporting information, and replace it with antral vs. basal.
