Technically, Český les is a small part of Šumava. Šumava was historically a territory influenced mainly by Germans and its German name is Böhmerwald, which is translated into English as Bohemian Forest. However also Český les is called Böhmerwald in German, Český les means exactly a Bohemian Forest. - Darwinek 20:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
