Gateshead player stats[edit]

Hi, and thanks for adding player stats for Gateshead appearances. I was just wondering where you were getting the figures from? Also, with Terry Hibbitt, the article says he briefly came out of retirement to play for Gateshead in 1986, but you've changed his dates to 1981–86: why would that be? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:18, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's brilliant, thanks. Clearly the wording of the Hibbitt article is rubbish, then... cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:26, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LuaLua loan reverted on NUFC current season page[edit]

D'oh! That's "loans that took place during the season", not "loans currently active", of course. Thanks for your reversion of my edit. Regards, Tonywalton Talk 21:27, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prods[edit]

Please reinstate them - I can accept the article for this season (when they are in a national league), but not past ones. There is very little chance that they will pass an AfD and it's a bit of a waste of time. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 17:58, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Starting 11 on Newcastle United F.C. season 2009–10[edit]

Hi,

The Starting 11 on Newcastle United F.C. season 2009–10 should reflect the most used starting players in the most used starting formation throughout the complete season. You shouldn't change it accordingly to every match. Keallu (talk) 14:21, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just thought that I'd point out that, technically, you're breaking no original material and verifiability guidelines in this page, with regards to the allocation of Conference North/South positions next year. The Conference/FA won't be meeting to confirm league allocations until 10th May (see here) and until then, though we can assume that (say) Histon will be in the Conference North, it doesn't necessarily follow. Allocations will depend on who comes down and up, and which clubs can be moved sideways. I don't want to revert the work that you've put into this page, but I'd consider either:

  • removing the Conference North and Conference South tables for now, listing instead the teams that will be divided between the two
  • or, at the very least, including only common sense teams (it doesn't need a source to declare that Workington or Blyth will be in the Conference North next year) in the tables and then listing those teams that will be allocated by the Conference/FA at the top in a separate list.

I thought that I'd note this hear as a concern in-case, firstly, you were planning to put similar work into the Northern Premier League/Isthimian League/Southern League, as again I think its best to wait until team allocations are confirmed, and secondly as I respect the work that goes into creating these pages and I don't want to undo that without discussion/warning. --Pretty Green (talk) 11:42, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dennis Alexander[edit]

The article Dennis Alexander has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No Notability for the football player. Google searches for the term find him as a composer of contemporary music.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 23:57, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
