If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Emaux de Briare, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cindamuse (talk) 19:30, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody attempted to speedy delete it - what I did was an attempt to keep it from being speedily deleted. I'm sorry if I got in the way, but I was afraid that if I did nothing the article would be deleted wholesale. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 20:45, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Émaux de Briare article userfied[edit]

The article is rather untidy in the mainspace in a half-translated state, so I have moved it into your user space at User:Jcksa/Émaux de Briare - you can translate it there and move it back when it is ready. The reason for the {{db-a2}} speedy someone put on it is that, if an article is copy-pasted from another Wikipedia for translation, the attribution to the original authors, which we are required by the license terms to maintain, gets lost. That can be avoided by putting a {{translated page}} template on the talk page, which I have done. While the article is in user space, categories need to be commented out: I have done that to the existing French categories, but please maintain it when you replace them with English categories, until you move the article back to the main space. I see you are a new user today: welcome, again. You may find some of what I have written just above unintelligible - leave a question below, or ask on my talk page, if you have any problems, or if you need help to move the article back into the main space. I recommend WP:Your first article and WP:Writing better articles as useful guides. regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:38, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
