Hello Jdbrook. Are you the same person as User:2601:644:401:f2b0:4903:4130:1b07:9806? You appear to have made the same edit as the IP at Levofloxacin. There may still be time for you to respond at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:2601:644:401:F2B0:4903:4130:1B07:9806 reported by User:Jytdog (Result: ) and promise to stop edit warring. Since 3RR has been violated, you should try to make things right in order to avoid a block. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 01:56, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

hi, as might be obvious, I'm new to this! Thank you for writing me. I put comments on the page you pointed me to, maybe that's the wrong place? I don't know why my edits are being removed, they have the same authority as those which remain, except they are more recent and update research from earlier on. They show the medicine is much more dangerous than was previously thought. Also, people with no known risk factors also can get these terrible side effects, which I don't know what to do about (should I try to add it? it's in the FDA label (the most recent one) . It seems important to have these facts easily available. I'd welcome advice!! I'm finding the efforts to undo my edits very strange.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdbrook (talkcontribs)
Since you are the same editor as the IP, you have now broken WP:3RR. You can avoid a block for edit warring if you will agree not to change the article again until you get a talk page consensus for your changes. The choice is yours. EdJohnston (talk) 16:10, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

thank you. what is a talk page consensus?

I am feeling a bit paranoid here as someone is preventing warnings about a dangerous medication from being listed and claiming controversy when there is not much at all, hence the FDA warnings and the mayo clinic physician report, etc.
I will try. the person who is undoing my edits repeatedly is not supporting efforts to get the current safety knowledge on the Wikipedia page.
You must reply yes or no, or I'll go ahead and take action on the edit warring complaint. A consensus means that the majority of the other editors agree with your change, and say so on Talk. EdJohnston (talk) 16:35, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ah, ok, yes please then. thank you.

I do it on the talk page for levaquin I guess? just googled the terms you sent me. I am swamped for the rest of the day but will try to get to it ASAP! I won't try any edit until there is a consensus. (I didn't understand the timeline for a consensus but I think that's not a worry.) thanks a lot and sorry to have gotten things wrong at first! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdbrook (talkcontribs) 16:45, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

3RR closure[edit]

The complaint about you at the edit warring noticeboard has been closed, based on your agreement to wait for talk page consensus before making further changes at Levofloxacin. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 17:24, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you very much, I've just put some queries on the talk page and will see what happens. I have already agreed that given the Wikipedia guidelines for medical work (which I just learned) that the ABC news reference I listed should not be included. I'm waiting to see what people say about the medical journal and FDA label sourced comments.Jdbrook (talk) 17:47, 23 August 2016 (UTC)jdbrook[reply]
so it looks like my questions aren't there any more....not sure how to get consensus if people don't know what I'm trying to include--did I forget to save it or did someone delete it? I'm very puzzled thanks! joanne

You may not have saved those comments. If you check Special:Contributions/Jdbrook it shows no posts by you on Talk:Levofloxacin. The IP that you used previously did not leave any posts there either. You should ask your questions again. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 04:30, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ok- thank you! I'm now worried, if I lost what I wanted to post isn't that sort of a sideways way of putting it back in? I do agree that if medical pages don't use news articles that the abc article should not appear. but I don't know why the many medical articles I linked (published, with contraindications) were removed from my posting too. I thought I had listed them in my question but now I'm wondering if that's a problem? thank you very much. joanne

hi- I've re posted. I agree that the abc news article is not appropriate now that I know the policies for health pages. I'm sorry about my mistake.

I have also asked on the talk pages why my other edits - from medical journals, as are current statements on the page, should not go on. I'll write the person who took them off. thanks a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdbrook (talkcontribs) 17:32, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
