Sources needed for Days of Year pages[edit]

Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details: content guideline and the style guide. Toddst1 (talk) 21:38, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, @Toddst1: What happened to WP:DNB? I think in this case, @Jeanne Castree:, Phyllis Barron's birth/death dates don't add much to the Days of Year pages. For me, it's not the fact that the citations didn't get copied across from the article, but a more pragmatic case that it would be better to interlink Barron's biography with other articles on her career, techniques, community and institutions. What do people think? PatHadley (talk) 08:54, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support @PatHadley: obviously I'm using the dates as a means of finding a way in, and I'm learning! I didn't feel too bitten but took it as a challenge - 1 find a legitimate reference for the dates and 2 find out how to add it. Baby steps! And now I know how to have a conversation!! :)) Jeanne Castree (talk) 10:19, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Jeanne Castree[reply]
That's great to hear! Apologies @Toddst1: - I may have been over sensitive/defensive: I have seen too many new editors feel ruffled by experienced Wikipedian's tendency to be very direct. I'll do some more looking at Larcher and Barron and together we can improve things? Have you seen that all the pictures are now on the event page? Cheers, PatHadley (talk) 10:36, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I've seen the pictures @PatHadley: they're great aren't they! I see you've added one to your user page, something else for me to find out about :)
