August 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to C.Y. O'Connor, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Learn a bit more about leaving signed talk items at the bottom of the page - the only edits I saw were nothing to do with what you are talking about here - SatuSuro 12:23, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am at a loss to see how addition of: - -

- [[File:[[File:[[File:[[File:[[File:[[File:]]]]]]]]]]]]

- </gallery>

has anything to do with the article SatuSuro 12:27, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you are going to icnlude that with a modified text it suggest you need to learn more about editing first

Then if you are changing the text - you need WP:RS to support your assertions where you have changed the text SatuSuro 12:29, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Jedawkins, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! SatuSuro 12:30, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That should give you some good links.

Things can happen very quickly on WP I only saw the things at the bottom of the article - I reverted on that alone. My apologies I didnt focus on your text changes. When you change text you need to be able to back up with WP:RS - specially with Biographical articles. Try to read through some of the into stuff and try to find some refs top back up your assertions - otherwise your comments or analysis of his life etc is basically WP:OR. Best of luck with editing on WP - I have to do something else for a while - cheers SatuSuro 12:34, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

I did not meant to be disparaging - when I checked the edit first off the first view was the odd stuff at the bottom of the article

I was in a hurry and didnt properly read the upper parts. Please do not be disparaged - there is a lot you can do and not have rushed idiots like me misreading your edits. Any editors who have started editing do not need to feel put out by other editors mistakes... you will find a lot of support if you continue the way you started - which is great! Linking O'Connor with descendants is an important part of making intelligent links. Please keep at it - and do not be put off by others mistakes. SatuSuro 10:48, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
