Edit for Leone Ridsdale

Dear Jeff, Thank you for your intro message. My edits were flagged as a potential conflict of interest due to my username. The edits to the page were simply to update some of the information, make some stylistic and grammar changes. I also wanted to upload a newer photo but was unable to do so. I'm happy to leave the page as it is now, but would like to know how to have the warning about potential conflict of interest removed.

Thank you! Editingmybosspage (talk) 08:59, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

@Editingmybosspage: Hi. As I understand the situation, the subject of the article is your boss, meaning for our purposes that she controls some portion of your pay, work assignments, or both. Kindly review and comply with the disclosure requirements in User talk:Editingmybosspage#Welcome! and WP:PAID forthwith, or I shall be forced to report you to WP:COIN or WP:ANI, which may have negative consequences for your account and your reputations.   — Jeff G. ツ 13:02, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Jeff, I have added a statement in the Leone Ridsdale talk page and have also added a disclaimer in the user page for Editingmybosspage. As I understand it, this should meet the disclosure requirements for Wikipedia. Thank you! Editingmybosspage (talk) 08:37, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

@Editingmybosspage: Thanks. If you are no longer so employed, please consider changing username.   — Jeff G. ツ 13:51, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Black nationalism and SPLC source

You can find the announcement of the SPLC's recent classification policy change here. Your impulse to label an ordinary content dispute immediately as "disrupting editing" is out of line and, since you are not an administrator, you have no business giving "final warnings." 73.71.251.64 (talk) 16:49, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

You may use that link as the basis for new information in Black nationalism, but please stop gutting that article's mention of and quote from the SPLC's opinion on the NOI. Also, I have every right to issue level 4 warnings, I have seen nothing that says I don't.   — Jeff G. ツ 17:18, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
You cannot make a final decision to block, therefore you are not in a position to give a final warning. However I take note of your acknowledgement that you used a "level 4 warning" as your second communication. Meanwhile I have seen nothing that says I can't remove outdated text from an article. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 17:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
The text you are removing is still on the SPLC's website at https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/nation-islam today, I checked.   — Jeff G. ツ 18:28, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Edits for Leone Ridsdale

Hi Jeff, apologies for coming back to this with such a delay. I was wondering whether the flag regarding the edits by close connection could be removed as I have posted my conflict of interest statement. If it cannot be removed, is there a way to take down the page altogether? Thank you for your help. Editingmybosspage (talk) 14:29, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

@Editingmybosspage: Are you no longer "under employment of Leone Ridsdale"? If so, why?   — Jeff G. ツ 15:02, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Jeff, I'm not sure I understand why my current employment is relevant as I am no longer making edits? You had mentioned early on that you reverted the changes that I had made, so my edits no longer feature on the page. In addition, for transparency, I have a conflict of interest statement, even though those changes no longer exist. Surely, this means that the flag can be removed? Thank you Editingmybosspage (talk) 14:18, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

@Editingmybosspage: I removed that tag from Leone Ridsdale for you. Please consider requesting a change of username and finding a source for her date of birth.   — Jeff G. ツ 16:01, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
