Plagiarism[edit]

Hi Jemacleod -

I was recently reviewing your edits to Aurora trout, and it appears that you directly cut and paste a large section of text from this website and this website directly in to the article in this edit. This constitutes plagiarism, and is almost certainly a violation of the policies of your university regarding academic integrity. Some of the wording was changed in subsequent edits (mostly by people other than you,) but not to a sufficient degree so as to avoid being a copyright violation. Since I don't have access to all of the book sources that you used to make sure that you didn't do the same thing there, I've reverted every edit you have made to that article. I have notified your professor of this as well. If you contribute to Wikipedia in the future, please read our copyright policies first. We really do appreciate contributions to Wikipedia, but plagiarism and copyright violations pose both ethical and legal problems for us. Kevin Gorman (talk) 04:58, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Aurora Trout Drawing.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned file, no foreseeable use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
