Gentlemen, I am Spliff Star's manager and he is quite notable as Pichpich mentioned. You deleted my first article and I rewrote it based on your suggestions - it took me 8 hours actually. So, to be deleted because you think he is not notable, is not appropriate. I looked at other articles you have edited and written, nothing personal, but maybe you are unfamiliar with my client. I have added two other pages, full of Spliff's work, and those pages remained - look up Contraband, and Imperial, both albums that Spliff was a part of. His real name is William Lewis and he also was a composer for Eddie Murphy's Dr. Dolittle 2 - all of which I used independent and WIKI sources. Please explain what your issue is because this is extremely frustrating. Perhaps, forward this to someone who can review this objectively, because you are clearly having an issue. This was also forwarded to Pinhpich for his assistance as he seems to share my opinion on Spliff's relevancy. J

Spliff Star[edit]

Hi Jimfbleak. You recently speedy deleted Spliff Star on G11 and A7 grounds. From what I remember, however, the article was pretty short and its tone was fairly neutral. As for notability, again iirc, there were references, at least a couple of which talked about his longtime collaboration with Busta Rhymes and listed him as one of the best sidekicks in hip hop. Also, the article did mention that he's part of Flipmode Squad and while notability is not inherited, I think it's enough of a claim of importance to avoid A7. By the way, Spliff Star's work as a producer means that he's mentioned a lot in other articles [1] (and there are a lot more where the wikilink has yet to be added) and I think this suggests that deleting the article is a mistake. In any case, can you undelete the article and put it somewhere in my user space? I'm confident that I can clean it up to make an acceptable version. A tag has been placed on Spliff Star, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Help me![edit]

Spliff Star has been in the industry for over 20 years and has over 250 links on Wikipedia - what do you need from me to complete this process as I am extremely frustrated? Jenna Herche

Please help me with...

First, Wikipedia is not a job listing, PR webhost or an advertising platform therefore the article contained only words he would use to advertise himself, and such blatancy, even if it's the subject himself, it's still not acceptable. If you want to advertise, use Twitter or Facebook. " and quite possibly the greatest hype man of all time" is nowhere near acceptable and the same is said for "has been blessed with tremendous stage prescience". SwisterTwister talk 06:32, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Write in a neutral tone. No one has a "passion for music" and is "blessed with tremendous stage prescience" unless you can quote a reliable and unaffiliated source on that, and even then it's arguably not an encyclopedic piece of information. A tag has been placed on Contraband (Released by PaperRock) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

A tag has been placed on Spliff Star requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
