On my watchlist there's an edit for the SR-71 Blackbird [[1]] and It looks like I made the edit, I did no such thing. Yes I made an edit today in "futher reading" section I added a book. But why does it look like I made the "small" edit when I did not ? Asking you because first name I saw I trusted sorry Mlpearc (talk) 23:30, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Arthur Rubin's opinion of Dr. Jones is contrary to Wikipedia's definition of Professor Emeritus
Arthur Rubin's opinion of Dr. Jones is contrary to Wikipedia's definition of Professor Emeritus as "A full professor who retires in good standing."
The Wikipedia public does not care what Arthur thinks of Dr. Jones. It is inappropriate to put in Wikipedia. It does not follow the principles: Be Polite, Assume Good Faith, Avoid Personal Attacks, or Be Welcoming.
Arthur Rubin needs to find a source from a BYU Administrator that contradicts his status as Professor Emeritus, retiring in good standing, which only the best professors do. Most simply retire. Cicorp (talk) 23:04, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Conflict of interest
Dear Jezhotwells
Thank you so much for your comments, very helpful. I had no idea this was the case. I am confused though what to do now?
The account can be edited by an independent journalist who does not know the person, however in the conflict of interest notes, it states in the Wikipedia rules that "The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing."
You suggest that another user name/person is used but it states above that another person cannot edit the account...or am I reading this incorrectly?
Please advise urgently.
Thank you. Josephine Carter (talk) 15:09, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Josephine Carter February 24thJosephine Carter (talk) 15:09, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia sources not reliable? living biographies
Dear Jezhotwells
As this is such a public forum, I refer to the named person's living biography whom we are discussing. Please understand not everyone is prolific in the use of Wikipedia editing. The named person's wiki page has been up for years without any problems!! Correct information as it pertains to a living person's date of birth, early life, especially if it is not in Europe and in Africa where most traditional/family history is NOT documented, and is passed from generation to generation via oral history, correct historical information has to be collected by interview also from the named living person. I am happy to pass the editing of this person's page the a third party, however all the content on the named person's biography is correct and nothing would be changed. The named person's early life, ancestry in Ghana is correct, however there are limited written histories on Royal African families and most people get their information now from the internet AND use Wiki as a reliable source. I am quite frustrated what to do as the page now looks discredited whilst only a few changes were added (date of birth) and early childhood African ancestry. Please advise as it looks terrible as it stands and quite honestly, hours and hours can be spent trying to understand Wikipedia rules and jargon - I hope you can understand and be of assistance. Thank you.

GA review
Hi Jezhotwells, I hope you are doing well. You had previously reviewed a GA candidate I had nominated, The History of British Political Parties. Another related GA candidate has been sitting at WP:GAN for a few months - I was wondering if you would care to review it? The article is - United Kingdom Election Results. Thank you for your time, Cirt (talk) 21:51, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, no worries. Cirt (talk) 14:27, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Your note
Hi Jezhotwells, I believe that any FA should represent the best WP has to offer. As such, any technical claims must be properly researched and presented. Instead of criticizing, I decided to actually help improve the article, so that it can be accurate and properly balanced, esp. on the technical front. I do think the article has FA potential, but more must be done to reach that stage, and anyone with knowledge in this area is welcome to help. Crum375 (talk) 14:22, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Vitamin C GA status
There is still much to be done, so I will de-list now. When these issues, most importantly reworking and organising the whole article for style and clarity, then it may be re-nominated at WP:GAN. Jezhotwells (talk) 20:07, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
- Many of the cites have been put in. Since it is difficult for the writers to judge which sections are least clear to readers, it would be very helpful if you could cite in the TALK section which sections you found particularly confusing, poorly written, or otherwise in worse need of work. And why. Thanks! SBHarris 20:20, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Genetic code Good article reassessment
According to the WP:GAR guidelines for an individual reassessment:
- 4. Allow time for other editors to respond.
According to the talk page history, your reassessment started and ended as follows:
start - 21:14, 26 February 2010 end - 22:49, 26 February 2010
These reassessments generally take a minimum of a few days. Allowing less than an hour is not realistic. I would appreciate if you would undo your delisting and allow at least a few days for others to respond. Thank you. Boghog (talk) 00:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
While the specific phrases at the centre of your criticism of the article are based in fact, I have removed or significantly modified them. I have also done additional copyediting. Could you please review. Sum of my diffs. regards --Merbabu (talk) 00:34, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

St Pauls, Bristol to St Paul's, Bristol and back again
Hi, I noticed you page move as you state this the apostrophised version is the "official version". I note that Bristol City Council in the ward profile for Ashley ward list the area as St Pauls, so I query the move. Jezhotwells (talk) 21:32, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, I was just responding to a page move request that was presented as non-controversial. Sounds reasonable to move back. Really, I have no opinion or preference. Hopefully, it's fixed now. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 21:41, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

GA Sweeps Completed!
Thanks to everyone's amazing efforts in February, we have reviewed all of the articles and are now finished with Sweeps! There are still about 30 articles currently on hold, and once those reviews are completed, I will send you a final message about Sweeps process stats including the total number of articles that were passed and failed. If you have one of these open reviews, be sure to update your count when the review is completed so I can compile the stats. You can except to receive your award for reviewing within the next week or two. Although the majority of the editors did not start Sweeps at the beginning in August 2007 (myself included), over 50 editors have all come together to complete a monumental task and improve many articles in the process. I commend you for sticking with this often challenging task and strengthening the integrity of the GA WikiProject as well as the GAs themselves. I invite you to take a break from reviewing (don't want you to burn out!) and then consider returning/starting to review GANs and/or contribute to GAR reviews. With your assistance, we can help bring the backlog down to a manageable level and help inspire more editors to improve articles to higher classes and consider reviewing themselves. Again, thank you for putting up with difficult reviews, unhappy editors, numerous spam messages from me, and taking the time to help with the process, I appreciate your efforts! --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 02:29, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Would you still be willing to hand out the award to the reviewers when it is convenient for you? You can either wait until the ~30 articles are completely finished, or hand them out now if you'd like. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 02:29, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Personal Pages for Members of 7x grammy nominated band The Killers
I am looking to put up a personal page for each member of the international multiplatinum rock band The Killers (Island Def Jam Records, 15 million records+ sold). One of them (lead singer) has a page, the other three do not yet (they were deleted each time). These members each perform interviews for various international publications. They each have fan groups and they have each been featured for their superior talent at their instruments in internationally published (ie. 'Bass Guitar Magazine' cover June 2009, 'Bass Player' Magazine, 'Drummer' Magazine cover June 2009, 'Rhythm Magazine', 'Modern Drummer' Magazine, 'Drumhead Magazine', and 'Guitarist' Magazine May 2009, etc) magazines. What do I need to do to restore/write wikipedia pages for these guys? I am more than happy to have my proposed pages approved by a wikipedia staff member. I am sure that you will find that they meet all standards for personal pages. Below I have written some of the publications that each can be seen in individually. The actual publications I can provide sources for or they can be found also at the painstakingly collected www.thekillersfansite.com. I can find many more publications like these if needed.
Dave Keuning: About.com (interview) Main Stage Centrail (T in the Park, Scotland, interview) Musicradar.com (interview) Whisky Soda: Alt Music Magazine (Germany, interview) Rolling Stone Magazine (Spain, Nov 2008, interview) HotPress (Feb 2009, interview) Colorado Springs Independent (newspaper, Jan 2009, interview) stuff.co.nz (Jan 2009, apology for show cancellation and interview) Timeslive (interview about show at the "Dome") TVNZ (interview) threedworld.com.au (Feb 2009, Australia, interview) Hiwatt Endorsement (current)
Mark Stoermer: Studio Brussell (Germany, interview) Lowlands Festival (UK, interview) Bass Guitar Magazine (March/April 2007, interview) Bass Guitar Magazine (June 2009, cover story and interview) Bass Player Magazine (Feb 2005/Feb 2010 interview) Las Vegas City Life (interview) muziek.nl (June 2009, rt before Pink Pop Music Festival, Netherlands, interview) Hiwatt Endorsement (current)
Ronnie Vannucci Jr: Auckland BDO (Norway, interview) azcentral.com (interview) The Vine (interview) Drumhead Magazine (Oct 2008, interview) Rhythm Magazine (Nov 2008, interview) Louisville.com (Jan 2009, interview) National Post (Jan 2009, back stage in Toronto, Canada, interview) Modern Drummer (March 2009, interview) Edmonton Journal (April 2009, Canada interview) Vindy.com (May 2009, interview) Las Vegas Review Journal (interview) thebejinger.com (Jan 2009, China, interview) Craviotto Drum Company Endorsement (current) and many many more endorsements
Below are links to the starts of each of their articles--can you please restore these? I will polish them up to specks if you will do that. I think a better way to approach these this second time would be to focus on their instruments and the specs associated with them for the fans who are interested in playing like them, etc. Something similar to the pages up for members of the rock band Kings of Leon (Jared Followill, etc) <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dave_Keuning&oldid=326671755>, <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ronnie_Vannucci_Jr&oldid=309104025>, and <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mark_Stoermer&oldid=326272613>.
Please help me. If you would read through this I am sure that you will find these persons worthy of wikipedia pages.
Sincerely, Joe Meservy (on wikipedia 'waytagojoe') joemeservy@gmail.com You can also contact the management and law firm for each of these persons at http://www.reynolds-lawyers.com to confirm details.--Waytagojoe (talk) 22:23, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

fctchkr, are my edits inline with good BLP article standards?
Hi jezhotwells, thanks for your recent feedback and guidance on the BT:musician article that I've been monitoring for awhile. I'm starting to get the hang of what is wanted/expected and think I will start branching out and doing updates to other electronica musicians. I'm looking for some feedback and guidance on the recent edits I've made. Would you mind looking at my contributions to some other album/biography pages and let me know if my edits were reasonable and justified? It seems that many blp articles to electronic musicians are in a sad state. Thanks! Fctchkr (talk) 03:37, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

- OK, do you want me to put it back up for reassessment? –– Jezhotwells (talk) 23:52, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, my ideal would be that you re-review it yourself, but given that I have not found the time and energy to review the article in the last 6 months, that is an unfair request. If you genuinely believe that the article meets the GA criteria, then you need do nothing: you have left a review, and (ignoring the above) the article remains GA until someone else questions its status. If you have doubts, but don't have the time to reassess again, then you could open a community reassessment. Geometry guy 00:02, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

Images relating to Ram Loevy
While I understand your concern regarding the images in the Ram Loevy article and associated articles, rest assured that I am aware of the concerns regarding Free Images, and was perfectly clear to Mr. Loevy what that means when I insisted that the only images that he could send me must be released under a free--and not fair use--license. I may not be a popular Wikipedian these days, but considering my long past with WMF (you can ask around about that), I have always been an advocate--in an official and unofficial capacity--of the inclusion of "free" images only--you can ask Kat about that. In fact, I was very proud of being able to get these images released under a specifically free license. Nevertheless, I understand your concerns and have sent an email to Mr. Loevy asking him to clarify his position. I should have it tomorrow and will then forward it to OTRS. Danny (talk) 23:07, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I do not think you understand. I am pretty familiar with the rules. I helped write them, and later enforced them in an official capacity as the second paid employee of Wikipedia. As someone who has worked for over a quarter of a century in film, I am also aware of ownership issues in film. So let me please explain. Based on what you are saying, only the cinematographer would have rights to screen shots for films. So, based on that logic, if you want a screen shot from Avatar you would have to ask Mauro Fiore, rather than James Cameron. That is simply not the case. It is based on who controls the production rights. In the case of all the photographs, I explained this to Mr. Loevy and he selected photos accordingly, selecting photos for which he had the rights. I also explained to him that their use would not be limited to Wikipedia, but that they would be made available to anyone. He agreed to that too. If you look at the information on the photo, he, as owner of the rights, released them under the CC-by-SA 3.0 license which is currently preferred by Wikipedia. As I also stated above, I have emailed him (I would have called him, but the time difference and all that...) and will forward his response to OTRS accordingly. One suggestion--Please try and understand the rules before you attempt to enforce them. Danny (talk) 02:39, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Screenshots need a fair use rationale which has not been provided. Loevy does not own the rights to Mar Mani screenshots, Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) does; Variance Films owns the rights to Sakhnin. BTW Loevy appears nowhere on the credits of that film. Photographs need a GFDL or CC attributed licensed provided by the photographer. That is what it says, quite clearly. I understand the rules fine, you don't appear to do so. Anyway, it is in the hands of the deletining admins, so please make your arguments there. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 03:13, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Your responses are interesting, but are certainly not all accurate. Are you familiar with the rights agreement for the images? You are certainly mistaken about the information concerning Loevy regarding the Sakhnin film: Here are some links for you to consider:
- Duke University Student Affairs, Eng.
- New Gaze, Poland, Eng.
- Yair Gil's site, Heb. Gil is an Israeli photographer who documented Loevy at a panel about the film.
- Ynet article about the film, Heb.
- Habama, which lists the nominations for the Israeli Academy Awards for that year, Heb. Final paragraph.
- Ben Gurion University website, Heb.
- What you may be doing is mistaking Loevy's film for Jerrold Kessel's 2007 film on the team, We Too Have No Other Land (p. 96). Please check your facts before making such assertions. Danny (talk) 11:13, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I got the production company wrong for one film. However, that does not chnage the point. The production company, whoever they are, holds the copyright. Suggest that you read the links about Wikipedia image use policies and copyrightys and explain why the images should be kept at Wikipedia:Possibly_unfree_files/2010_March_16. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 12:32, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Translation of articles from French Wikipedia
Hi there, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction, I was going to write an article on the Bristol record label, The Subway Organisation. However I see the French Wikipedia site already has an article, so was wondering if there was a facility to translate it over into English, rather than duplicate it. I don't have a problem translating or rewriting it, put it seems pointless if there is in fact a way around this. Cogoal (talk) 10:03, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for sorting that out. I have had a go at expanding the article, however it is still far from finished, so I'll return over the coming weeks. One thing I noticed is that the spelling of Organization/Organisation is not consistent throughout associated articles, including my own mistakes! Dispute On Removal of References
Forgive me if I am posting out of line, but I've not spent any time on Wiki and have no idea where to go for such things...
I own Bondurant's Pharmacy in Lexington, KY (You can see my building if you Wiki Lexington KY)... There was a Wiki entry on the pharmacy that was apparently taken down by an Administrator named The JPS (I've tried to contact him/her but can't figure out how to do that)...
I'd like my information restored. How do I do that?
(Incidentally, there was nothing inaccurate about the information on that page... for that matter, there really wasn't much on that page at all... I can't see any reason to remove it.)
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks, Ickyma (talk) 16:01, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Apologies but it seems I made an error in thinking the article was a copyright infringement... it merely uses a large number of the same words which at a glance in Google appeared to be a direct copy. Ronnie Vannucci Jr Wikipedia Page
Hi, I am in the process of drafting a page for Internationally acclaimed drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. I would love to get your feedback on this draft to see what changes should be made before it can be posted. Thank you.
Of note (not mentioned in the article) Ronnie Vannucci Jr and the Killers have to date received a combined total of 62 Platinum Awards and 43 Gold Awards and have sold in excess of 15 million records. They have headlined the highest profile festivals in the world including: Glastonbury, Coachella, Reading, Benicassim, T In The Park, Lollapalooza, Hyde Park Hard Rock Calling. And they have appeared on the cover of 43 national magazines in the UK alone, including premier music publications NME (17 times) and Q (4 times). They have also been nominated for 7 grammy awards and won numerous other awards including 3x Best International Band Award(NME Awards) since 2005.
The address is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Waytagojoe/Ronnie_Vannucci_Jr
Thank you in advance for your expertise and consideration.--Waytagojoe (talk) 16:25, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- I think the main problem is that the article subject appears to not meet WP:MUSN#Criteria for musicians and ensembles 6. "Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles." You may get better input if you ask at WT:WikiProject Musicians. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 16:58, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

You have placed an unreferenced tag on this page. You have obviously missed the sources placed at the bottom of the article from the three major newspaper publications in Tasmania.Forfuxake (talk) 04:25, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, you mean the sentence "Source: All scores and statistics courtesy of the Hobart Mercury, Launceston Examiner and North West Advocate publications", which does not meet the guidelines at WP:Citing sources. Date of publication, publisher details need to be there. Please read the guidelines and apply them. Wikipedia requires high standards of referencing. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 10:14, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
In other words it would take at least six months to record and type up each page. Just look at the dates of each match played and it would be in the following day's publication. Simple logic one would've thought.Forfuxake (talk) 20:07, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

In the writer's defense, 3 of the 4 months it was sitting in the queue, but seeing as how the writer hasn't been editing at all, it's better that they just get to it when it's at 100% and ready for a re-review. Staithes
I noticed you deleted some external links on the Staithes page, quoting WP:EL. Can you explain more clearly your rationale for this? Emeraude (talk) 16:54, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- Certainly:
- Photos of staithes appears too be a broken website, the images displayed as thumbnails there do not meet the criteria WP:EL#What should be linked specifically 3. "Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks), or other reasons.", also WP:EL#Links to be considered, 4. "Sites which fail to meet criteria for reliable sources yet still contain information about the subject of the article from knowledgeable sources.".
- "A walk around Staithes" also fails the above criteria
- –– Jezhotwells (talk) 17:13, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
OK, that's clearer. Thanks. Emeraude (talk) 09:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

What is WP's policy reg archiving an article's talk pages? Can any user do that or is there a procedure?

Can a biography page be temporarily removed?
Hi Jezzi
Re: Shaheera Asante Living Biography Page Thanks for all your assistance and fairness so far. Due to the 'conflict of interest' banner still remaining on this person's Biography page, can the subject's biography page be temporarily removed, until a new up to date biography page can be written in its place?
The subject of the biography has expressed distress at the current state of the biography. Which I believe is not the purpose of Wikipedia.
Please advise.
With Regards

- Well, I don't quite see what the problem is. The most difficult statements which have been tagged have been commented out until citations are found. I have left the tags on the statements about her official title in Ghana, etc. I could comment those out, if there are no reliable sources. Please bear in mind that this is an encyclopaedia and article subjects have no control over what is posted hre, unless it is clearly libellous. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 01:39, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Hungarian names for Romanian places
Dear Markussep,
After the Odorhei discussion ([6]) the status quo for Transylvanian places was that the artice name is Romanian, if Hungarian population <20%, in the infobox both Romanian and Hungarian names should be indicated, and also in the lead both Romanian and Hungarian names should be bolded.
About two weeks ago, an editor called User: Iadrian yu supported by absolutely new editors User:Dicocodino, User:Umumu, User:Amon Koth (the latter 3 with zero or close to zero edits) started a campaign against this situation referring to general naming policies.
They were looking for discuss resolution forums trying to find a favourable opinion for them ie. deleting bolded Hungarian names. You and User:Markussep gave them a negative opinion at here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:S%C4%83rma%C5%9Fu (Nagysármás)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests/Archive_73 (Nagysármás)
Then, on 23rd, March User: Iadrian yu started to delete bolded Hungarian names from every settlement of Harghita, Covasna and Mures country making masses of deletes.
Finally, they found an admin User:Mjroots who decided in their favor as a result of a dispute in which a very few people took place (most of them zero a close to zero edits), and neither you nor User:Jezhotwells were notified although I asked the admin to do so. (ruling here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive605)
What do you think about it? How the Odorhei-compromise which worked for 3 years can be overthrown like this. Is this the way of consensus building and dispute resolution?
I think in this case Myroots made a very big mistake, but, I seem unable to explain the situation it to him as an interested party. I am very dissapointed at how things work now. Kind regards: User:Rokarudi--Rokarudi 17:22, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Strindberg
I have a question concerning August Strindberg: Why is his article still have a C-rating? It had a C-rating before I expanded it, and it was only about 25,000 kb big, and now it is 60+ and it is hard to believe that it should have the same rating. What else is left to do to get it to be a B rating Thanks User:Phaeton23 22:08, 30 March 2010
- You should ask at WT:WikiProject Composers, or you could ask for an assessment at WP:Peer review and when you are confident that it meets the Good Article Criteria, you could nominate at WP:GAN. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 02:18, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. I only asked you because you gave the assessment a C again. Thank you for the advice. User:Phaeton23 23:53, 30 March 2010

Naz Sarkar
Hi Jez,
Thank you for introducing me to Wikipedia and providing the guidance material; it is very much appreciated. I'm just wondering, why was the Naz Sarkar page changed to a re-direct? I would like to create pages for all the politicians running in the election, but after this one was twice changed, I became quite disheartened. What is the reason for this?
Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfehenson (talk • contribs) 22:32, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- The reason is that until a candidate is elected to office, they generally fail the criteria for WP:POLITICIAN, specifically, that they have not "recived substantial coverage" in verifiable, reliable sources. Merely standing for office is not sufficient. Redirecting, rather than nopminating for deletion saves the content of the article so that it can be recreated if the candidate is actually elected. The discussion at WT:WikiProject Politics of the United Kingdom#Articles on Prospective Parliamentary candidates provides further information. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 22:47, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Sir, please provide a rational explanation for why you redirected Gareth Epps to Reading East (UK Parliament constituency) Monbro (talk) 09:28, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- My explanation is in the edit summary [7]. WP:POLITICIAN states that merely standing for office does not make a subject notable for Wikipedia]]. You can see discussions on this topic at WT:WikiProject Politics of the United Kingdom. Thanks. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 09:33, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi Jezhotwells, Thanks so much for your help with the Lord David West article. I'm new to wiki procedure (and there's quite a lot of it): Could I ask you what the procedure is if the person re-vandalises the page?

Ronn Torossian
This is from Mosmof on the talk page - Has something changed since then ???? P
Please read - Quote re Torossian... Has something changed ?
I've actually removed mention of the rabbi impersonation from here and moved it to the 5W page, since none of the media reports connect Ronn with the incident directly - as far as reliable sources can tell, it was an indiscretion by the firm, not Ronn. So we can move the discussion to the talk page there: Talk:5W Public Relations. No, I'm not willing to identify myself, and attempting to out me is against Wiki policy (well, except when there's clear evidence of COI, of course). All I can say is that I have an extensive edit history where Agriprocessor- or Torossian-related topics constitute a tiny, tiny percentage. So it's highly unlikely that I am Rosenberg, unless of course, Mr. Rosenberg sneaked onto my computer during a get-together at my apartment. You've mentioned this "federal laws" and "lawsuits" before, and I'm not sure where you're getting it. It may have been in the older edits you kept deleting, but in the rewrite that I did, I don't mention any legal action, pending, threatened, or otherwise. Anyway, the information in the rewrite comes entirely from independent, non-primary sources. So unless you're willing to question the credibility of JTA or the Forward or PR Week, I'm not sure how much you can question the content. You're more than free to do so at Talk:5W Public Relations, obviously. --Mosmof (talk) 15:22, 16 July 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.173.122.113 (talk)

Profile of Herbert Adams
Thank you for sending me the Introduction. Your help is greatly appreciated! I do not want to overstep my bounds but I wanted to ask you my question and if you can help or suggest anything to me I would be very grateful.
I am new to adding/editing pages and recently I added my first page. (Here is a link to that page:)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profile_of_Herbert_Adams_(Sculptor)
The "page" is for a book that I am using as a reference to update an existing page on Herbert Adams, Sculptor. The book is called Profile of Herbert Adams written by Marilyn Gage Hyson. As I am new and trying my best to follow the rules I have come upon a stumbling block that I can't figure out. A member of Wikipedia proposed that the entry be deleted because I had not provided references. I have added 3 references, but now I am unsure how to remove the request that the entry be deleted.

Hi, I noticed your comments on my GA review of Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough and wanted to comment. Regarding alternate text for images, I realize that it's not a GA requirement, but I also realize that I'm just one reviewer who is likely to miss things about the article about the article that could be improved. I don't believe in saying "it's just a GA, so we'll let it slide" if the fix is simple - it doesn't take much time to add them in, and the purpose is to improve Wikipedia by improving the article, so why let small things go? Canadian Paul 15:34, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- As I said, alt text is good and perhaps we should discuss getting it added to the criteria. The main issue I see with the Jackson articles from that nominator is rather poor prose. I spent quite some time copy-editing Tabloid Junkie before passing it. Like your addition of the featured article tool box to review pages, I shall use that in future. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 15:46, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed the poor prose in the "live performances" section; I think the nominator was wise to remove that section entirely, as the rest of the article was reasonably good. Also, can't take credit for the featured article toolbox, a friend of the nom's added it, but I too think that it's worth using in the future. Thanks too for reminding be about WP:NOTBROKEN. I'm, to remain civil, let's say not a big fan of that guideline, but I must have blocked it from my mind after I stopped reviewing GA articles ages ago. Can't complain too much though, it does make my job easier, haha. Canadian Paul 15:53, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I really do assume good faith on your part, but could you please make your motivations regarding reasons for deletion of the Seattle Children's Theatre article more clear? Is this for example part of an effort on your part to delete all articles in similar conditions to this one, or is it targeted at this article at random, or is there something else involved of which I (and other infrequent wikipedia editors) am unaware? Thanks, Jeshotweels, for taking on the GA review. I've had a careful look at your comments and generally find them very useful and constructive. I see Hoary has already made a good start on some of them and I hope to be able to find the time to take care of most of the rest within a day or too. There is however one comment of yours which I think will be difficult to deal with, namely "There is no underlying theme, apart from the Danish connection. I am not getting any real feel for the subject. There is little about the development of the photography industry in Denmark, apart from its beginnings." I am not too clear about how I should deal with this. The article was intended, rightly or wrongly, to trace the development of photography in Denmark as an art form rather than as an industry. To the best of my knowledge, apart from the presence of an Agfa Gevaert factory (one of many) in Copenhagen for a number of years, there has been no photography industry in Denmark. Indeed, none of the many sources I have found make any reference to the industry side. Perhaps an explanation along these lines in the lead would help to assist the reader. Any suggestions? -- Ipigott (talk) 09:17, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Ulysses S. Grant
We are making clean up edits and adding better narrative. I suppose the main issue is whether the USG article should have a separate Civil War section. The War articles are summarized, however, to summarize more would take away neccessary details. Thanks for reviewing the article. {Cmguy777 (talk) 20:56, 6 April 2010 (UTC)}
- Improvements have been made to the USG article. The narration is better and many of the areas needing work have been fixed. If you could give a progress report, that would be beneficial to getting USG to GA status. {Cmguy777 (talk) 00:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)}

Can you explain to me what is going on with the history of Park Grill. It seems to have failed WP:GAC twice (1st time, 2nd time). The T:AH does not reflect this. What is going on?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:37, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Moran for GA
I ran down through the remainder of your checklist, and have completed the following...
- Moran's support for harsher bankruptcy law provisions and sponsorship of harsher bankruptcy legislation brought allegations in 2002 that his support came in return for financial favors by financial institutions which could benefit from such laws. two close uses of "harsher". Can you find another word for one of the instances? Done This was one of the first things I did, I don't know why you still have it down as "not down".
- In January 1998, one month before he introduced the legislation, credit card bank MBNA advocated that would restrict the ability of consumer debtors to declare bankruptcy. Better to say "... MBNA advocated that it would restrict ..." Done
- Moran received a favorable debt consolidation loan from MBNA that allowed him to personally avoid bankruptcy due to credit card and stock market losses. Better would be "... that allowed him to avoid personal bankruptcy arising from credit card and stock market losses." Done I used the text which you recommended.
- I tagged one dead link, ref #8 [3]. Done (sort of) This one was very difficult, as the Progressive Caucus Website has been taken down for some reason. Hopefully I can replace the old reference once the new one is up. For I am using some news articles which I painstakingly found via Google News.
Please tell me if anything else in the article needs work. ~BLM Platinum (talk) 20:09, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I saw that on Whtie Shadows's talk page. With some searching, I came upon a source list for uboat.net located here. I jwant to know if that asserts realiability, since I'm awork on German submarine U-66(1940). Hope to her from you soon! Buggie111 (talk) 22:10, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, just because a hobby site lists its sources, it does not make that site reliable. The original sources should be cited. Please read WP:RS. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 22:14, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- Please read User:Bellhalla/uboat.net reliability The site has been confirmed as a RS by several trusted editors here such as User:Bellhalla and User:The ed17, both of whom are admins and are very well respected in the fields that they edit. I'm afraid that your mistaken on the reliablity of that site. However, that alone would not be enough to make this a GA. What a coincidence! That FA has the same number as the ship I'm about to work on! Buggie111 (talk) 23:27, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- There is a diffrence between the two of about 20+ years though. The U-66 of WWII was far more advanced than the 1915 one. however, I was pointing that out to show that Uboat.net is a RS. To some, it may look "sketchy' but if it was not a RS, it would have never been used for an FA nor be as widespread in U-boat articles as it is today.--White Shadows you're breaking up 23:31, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
