Image Tagging Image:Picture 33.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Picture 33.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Nivus(talk) 07:33, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to Big Brother UK Series 7 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept our apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // Tawkerbot2 15:35, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please don't add fancruft to the article. If you cannot back it up with a source, then don't include it.
  • Both logos have came from the C4 press site. The only difference is that one is copyright infringement because it is not tagged correctly.
  • Nominations tables are not useful. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information.

I have reverted your changes because they messed the format, so that the link on the last line was off-centre. -- 9cds(talk) 21:48, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother[edit]

Please do not put non-fair use images on the Big Brother pages. -- 9cds(talk) 14:47, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. -- 9cds(talk) 15:50, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The reason I am removing the logo is because there is already a Big Brother logo in use, which is better quality, and is official. Please do not revert it. -- 9cds(talk) 15:47, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Three revert rule violation[edit]

! You are in danger of violating the three revert rule. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing. — FireFox (U T C) 16:04, 21 May '06

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.-Whomp 16:06, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the three revert rule applies to all editors and administrators. As Whomp said below, the images are a copyright violation. I am going to stay neutral in this 'content dispute' but please be careful not to break the three revert rule. Thanks, — FireFox (U T C) 16:26, 21 May '06

Big Brother UK series 7[edit]

Sorry about this conflict, but these images are copyright violations and cannot be added. Please read Talk:Big Brother UK series 7#Images for more information. You are welcome to add screencaptures from your TV capture card of each housemate, however. So, just don't add those images again, or I'm afraid I will have to report you for violating the 3 revert rule, which is something I don't really want to do. -Whomp 16:20, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Offer of help[edit]

I can't help but think that a lot of the time you just aren't realising what Wikipedia is about - namely keeping copyrighted images off wikipedia, about working as a group, and about talking about things if you feel that something shoudl be included (or shouldn't be included).

I know nothing about you, of course, except that you're obviously a big fan of Big Brother and that you have a lot you want to say. I'm offering to help you do this. Just send me a message on my talk page, or send me an email. And while you're waiting, go grab a cup of tea! -- 9cds(talk) 16:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Misunderstandings[edit]

I think you have me misunderstood...

  • Yes, I put your page up for merge. However, I did not perform the merge myself. If you think this was wrong, then please take it up with whoever performed the merge.
  • Both logos are indeed correct - however, yours is bad quality, and isn't needed.
  • I am removing copyrighted images. I request if you feel they are not in violation, then please say so in the talk page.

Thanks. -- 9cds(talk) 16:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wundering why you deleted my page T.O.M which is a genuine system which we use where I come from to discuss women. Is this not to your approval?

Thanks

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Golden_ticket.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Golden_ticket.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Rory096 00:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
