DaHeala

[edit]

Please stop re-adding the unsourced and not properly formatted material to the article, per WP:V. Mymis (talk) 18:10, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, you did NOT message me anywhere. Also, please note that if you revert my edit once again, you'll be eventually blocked per WP:3RR. You must provide reliable sources for all the information you wish to add. For some reason, you keep deleting the sourced information, including his Oscar nomination. Mymis (talk) 21:47, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You uploaded, File:Daheala profile.jpg, where you either stated or implied that you had permission of a third party to upload it; or that evidence of such permission would be provided on request.

Wikipedia currently needs the permission to be explicit and proven at the time of upload.

Please read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, which advises on how to confirm the permission you obtained from a third party.

It is also advisable to ask the third-party what source attribution they desire, as opposed to marking the image as having been "sent personally". Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:41, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to follow the procedure in the link given.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:44, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In very simple terms, you need to get the person who 'owns' the copyright to e-mail "permissions-commons@wikimedia.org", with some kind of confirmation explaining that they are OK with the image being freely shared with millions of people and used for purposes which they might not have foreseen. 18:56, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Daheala profile.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Daheala profile.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 09:40, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Danny Boy Styles. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 21:48, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is not acceptable. You do not close discussions that you are involved in. — JJMC89(T·C) 22:36, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My apologizes, wasn't aware of that rule.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 21:57, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Belly (rapper). I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Request reason:

Dear wiki admins, I first like to apologize for the inconvenience and my actions in warranting this block. It was never my intension to create friction nor end up in this situation. I do understand the penalty and wish to remove this block so I can contribute to Wikipedia in a positive manner. I am here to learn and continue to contribute. However, I have not created multiple accounts. I do all my Wikipedia edits in my home that is located in a 40 story condo building. Our internet is shared and truly believe this is a mistake. If you look at my contributions, I have contributed in a positive manner and spend hours doing work that has now been erased on several pages. I don't think this is reasonable, and would like to ask for you to revert these changes. Please allow me to continue contributing to Wikipedia. I thank you for your time.

Decline reason:

So you're suggesting that it just so happened that someone else living in your building created an account, on the same IP as you, with exactly the same computer setup as you, and edited the exact same pages as you, but it's not you? You're lucky you only got blocked for two weeks; I suggest you come clean about this. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 04:50, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Same setup? Same computer? I have a macbook pro...I don't imagine I'm the only one? Same IP's is a new concept for you? I'm not sure what else you like to know besides the fact that I sincerely apologized and have contributed immensely with positive contributions. Come clean? Why am I being threatened for contributing to a FREE website that needs editors to contribute? Look at my edits and tell me where I've done anything malicious before you tell me how "lucky" I am. Lastly, please look at the people I've been editing and they're very well known public figures, especially where I'm from. Maybe it's a surprise to you who these people are, but it's not a surprise to me that other people also have the same editing interests. My final comment - this is only hurting the pages that I added credible and sourced info before this. Creating a new account is extremely simple regardless of IPs, and I sincerely find a waste of time. Why would I give other accounts credit for my work?! Regardless, I really want to get back and contribute to these pages and pay extreme attention to Wiki rules and regulations. Thank you.

Decline reason:

With the technical evidence connecting the accounts being strong, the other two accounts being created on the very same day an article created by this account was first deleted, and the editing patterns of the accounts being so similar, your denials are simply not plausible. I suggest you either tell us the truth, or just shut up and wait for your short block to expire - further obfuscation of this nature is likely to be self-defeating and could well prompt another admin to extend the block.
