Please be more careful[edit]

Hi, thanks for your corrections on a variety of articles.

May I ask that you be a bit more careful? In one case, you made the text ungrammatical ([1]); in another, you changed the spelling of a correctly spelled word in Australian English ([2] -- and by the way, there were many other instances of the "ae" spelling which you didn't change); you seem to have misunderstood a word ([3]); you merged two sentences but didn't correct capitalization ([4]).

These are all small things, and I do appreciate your contributions to other articles -- but keep in mind that every error you make means that another editor has to detect the error and fix it. --Macrakis (talk) 13:05, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

More examples where you need to be more careful:
  • [5] "HE" was correct -- it means "His Excellency", while "He Shri Virendra Gupta" makes no sense. But I removed the title entirely because WP generally doesn't use titles like that.
  • [6] You replaced "quests", a finite verb, with the gerund "questing", which leaves the sentence with no main verb and thus incorrect.
  • [7] You replaced "Xclusive Yachts" with "Exclusive Yachts"... but this is the article about Xclusive Yachts, a brand name.
As a general rule, you need to read at least the surrounding sentence, and often the paragraph or even the whole article, before making edits like this. You seem to be looking just at words in isolation. --Macrakis (talk) 14:22, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
