Welcome

[edit]

Hello and welcome to WP. I noticed your edits and see you're mostly agree with your edits. I do have one objection: Red links are not errors. They are future articles and often the red link is the only indication that a new article is needed there. If there is no chance of something being a real article then I remove it but not otherwise. I am thinking especially of Almond scab, Fruit spot, and Yellow Sigatoka in this edit: Special:Diff/1063516310.

That's the only problem. Keep going. WP certainly needs more extensioners editing here. Invasive Spices (talk) 3 January 2022 (UTC)

Thank you Invasive Spices for pointing this out to me. I am new to WP and thought that red means the link is broken and should be removed, but your explanation makes sense. I will undo those edits. I appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me. I agree, there are many more ag extension edits that still need to be made in WP. Jimhue (talk) 17:24, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Diplocarpon coronaria

[edit]

Thanks for the new article on Marssonina blotch. Might this better be merged to the long-standing stub at Diplocarpon coronaria? Both are very short, and merging would help with context. Klbrain (talk) 20:52, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion is that they should stay separate as they are two different (albeit closely related) topics. I was hoping to add to both articles over the next few months. However, I don't have a strong opinion on this. Jimhue (talk) 14:29, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
