Information icon Hello, The IIJ. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 09:24, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimmy, Thanks for your message on my talk page. As you appear to have a conflict of interest, the best practice is for you to declare this on your user page and also on the article's talk page - see WP:DCOI (I am happy to help you with this if you ask, and then remove the COI tag on the article itself), and then in future to make suggestions for changes to the article on its talk page rather than editing it directly - see WP:COIEDIT. But if there are things like blatant vandalism to the page or typos, yes you can fix them if need be. Melcous (talk) 21:40, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Melcous Hi Melcous, thank you for your assistance, very much appreciated. It would be great if you could help me do this - I will follow the procedure of making suggestions in it's talk page for future.

No worries Jimmy, I have added the connected contributor template to the article's talk page, and therefore removed the tag from the article itself. Thanks for making the declaration on your talk page. All good now, happy wiki editing and feel free to contact me in the future and ask a question if you think I can be of help. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 08:40, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
