Feedback on Voting rights in Belgium

[edit]

Your article his written well, with a clear structure. There are some links you could add to some terms that you mention such as Francs and Flanders for people who are unfamiliar with them. In general I don't see many flaws with the grammar except for a few spelling mistakes.

1831-1893: Census suffrage for male Belgian citizens On March 12, 1848 a law was made that lowered the tax and made the terms uniform throughout the country. The cumulation of the mandate of representative of the people or senator with an official function was also excluded. Finally, by law of July 9, 1877, the voting became secret.

abolition of compulsory attendance In 2019-2020, the Flemish government-Jambon planned to abolish compulsory voting for municipal and provincial elections. This was implemented with the decree of 16 July 2021 and will be applied for the first time in the 2024 local elections.

The Jambon government has an article published on wikipedia which you could also link within your article. Harunwiki105 (talk) 15:05, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on Voting rights in Belgium

[edit]

Hi, I found your article relevant with a structure where it's easy to find informations and sources. It's a neutral written article .

There's an overview table which I found it's a good tool and it's categorization will help readers to find informations quickly .

I have read that there's some small scandal related to the voting system in Belgium in 2018 and election fraud in 2004, it might be a good idea to adress it in your article.

Also I think there's some citations needed in the section "Age reductions through the years" and at the end of some small paragraphs.

Otherwise, your article is really good and almost complete ! Yasmine Harfouche (talk) 09:08, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
