Protiviti Edits[edit]
Please note that you most recently reverted my good edits which used the 2021 Annual Report for Protiviti stats. You might be a novice editor but you need to be very careful when reverting stuff. [1] Secondly, the Bloomberg link you provided does not cite NYC as headquarters. So far, your edits are vandalism. - @Kazuha1029 Apologies for the accidental revert. I had an old copy of the article open when I submitted my edit so it did not factor in your recent update, and that resulted in me inadvertently reverting the edit. I do not appreciate the sudden hostility and immediate baseless accusation of a biased edit. Behavior like this is why I quit editing and remain a "novice editor".
- As for the reference provided, it clearly lists Protiviti's address as 1290 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10104 United States. Not entirely sure how that doesn't count, but in the interest of WP:CIVIL I'm not going to pursue this further. jkmartindale (talk) 17:53, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe it's a display problem, but on my end it only shows the following: "Protiviti Inc Protiviti, Inc. provides independent internal audit and business and technology risk consulting services. The Company's services include helping companies worldwide identify, measure, and manage operational and technology-related risks, as well as provide internal audit services, technologies, and skills for business risk management throughout the world." - I also did a Ctrl F and typed in "New York", 0 search results. To further substantiate why you are inaccurate:
- according to Protiviti's website: [2], the NYC office address is: 888 7th Ave 13th Floor, New York, NY, 10106, not 1290 Avenue of Americas.
- according to its Annual Report, which I highly recommend you to take a look: [3], under page 3, Robert Half's HQ is Menlo Park, and since Protiviti is its subsidiary, the same holds true for Protiviti. It clearly stated: The day-to-day operations of Protiviti are managed by a chief executive officer and a senior management team with operational and administrative support provided by individuals located in San Ramon and Menlo Park, California.
- Thank you for your patience in showing me exactly where to find the info I repeatedly missed earlier. You taught me something new today. Internal uncertainty over HQ location comes up from time to time and it's nice to have a rock-solid answer. jkmartindale (talk) 19:06, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
- Finally, please make sure you provide good citation. Bloomberg is normally reliable, but these type of company profiles are never checked properly and pulled automatically through internet sources. I'd also ask you to engage in discussions before making biased edits or reverting others good-faith edits (which I consider "hostility" just like you said). Please see WP:Civility. And yes, you were vandalizing, and that required a warning. On Wikipedia, we see too many edits like yours without good sources or blindly promoting the company.
