Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Jlam4911! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Ryan 09:32, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

Ronald20[edit]

Welcome to the daily Ronald20 (talk · contribs) (aka 204.108.96.10 (talk · contribs) cleanup patrol. ;-) BlankVerse 10:05, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ronald20 (talk · contribs) has now done three reverts to the KYXY article. I've put a warning on his user page that he can be blocked from editing if he does a forth revert within a 24 hr. period. If you notice a fourth revert before that time is up, you should report it to WP:AN/3RR. You should also note that as that user and as the IP 204.108.96.10 (talk · contribs), that he has been reported to WP:VIP, and while editing at various IPs in the range 204.108.xx.xx out of the Los Angeles Unified School District that he has been causing problems with Southern California radio and TV station articles since at least May. You should also note that in the last couple of days he has escalated to page blanking and revert warring. BlankVerse 09:26, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I know...it's getting a bit ridiculous. Thanks for helping me out here Jlam4911 09:28, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Just a caution for you: For the edit war on KYXY, you technically had four reverts. Although I personally would count them as reverting nonsense vandalism, which is allowed under WP:3RR, some admins will take the attitude of "hang 'em all". If you run into the same problem again, try to contact me or any of the other editors that have been cleaning up after Ronald20, just to stay on the safe side.
Gawd! I just looked and he's already done a bunch of editing this morning, including his 4th revert on KYXY (as 204.108.96.10 (talk · contribs) (with user:Meelar reverting him)! BlankVerse 15:02, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Even though I said at WP:VIP that I had quit fixing things, I've gone a fixed most of the changes this morning, plus reported the 3RR violation. If that doesn't work, I'm going to start calling in favors from all the admins I know. BlankVerse 18:09, 3 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

For more info, please see User:BlankVerse/RonaldWatch. BlankVerse 08:53, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Even though I was the one who created the User page, Ronald20 did add some information to the page today. Since he has never responded to anything on his Talk page, I count that as some very modest progress. On the other hand, he apparently was adding stubs to large articles again, so User:Lucky 6.9 as one of his first "official" acts as a very new admin blocked Ronald20 for 48 hrs. File copyright problem with File:Hotdoggydog.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Hotdoggydog.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:18, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
