Jean Baptiste Baudreau II
[edit]Your edits to Jean Baptiste Baudreau II are inappropriate for this Wikipedia article.
- The complete text of Baudreau's letter is unneeded. As a primary source, it has little value in an encyclopedia. What is needed is a reasoned historical interpretation of the letter. The letter itself may well find a happy home in Wikisource, but not here at Wikipedia.
- The addition of the letter, and its accompanying footnotes, appears to have been copied from another source. While the letter itself is most surely in the public domain by now, the footnotes are not so clearly so, which would make their addition to Wikipedia a copyright violation.
- The addition of the letter, and its accompanying footnotes, has completely broken the page formatting and syntax. This can be repaired, but I am loathe to work on fixing the formatting of material whose presence I disagree with.
I will remove the material once again. I ask that, prior to reinstating it, you follow the Bold, Revert, Discuss model, and discuss the matter on Talk:Jean Baptiste Baudreau II. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:20, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
