Hello Janette my name is Takiyah I am in your sociology class. I think something else you could add to this article is the type of waves and gestures used in other countries. Also you could add what might be a polite gesture in one country my not be the same in another. Another thing I think could help as you start to develop this article is that instead of putting your ideas in one paragraph you could separate them into topics so that it will be easier for you to add to your different ideas and it will actually start to look like an article.Ttyrell3 (talk) 20:06, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This was a great description of what you are proposing to add, Janette, but where are the 5 sources that you were supposed to research? What happened? Alfgarciamora (talk) 12:58, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Week 6: Thank you for the 5 sources, but these are not academic journal articles or books from academic presses. Also, you cannot use wikipedia as a source. I worry about you falling behind in this course, Janette. You need to do a lot to catch up. Alfgarciamora (talk) 12:23, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Jlope487: Nice job adding all of that content to the mainspace! I am happy with that significant addition. BUT, I really want you to focus on adding sociological material to your page. As you develop it further, take a look at the work of symbolic interactionists and other microsociologists. They're the ones who would focus on things like a wave.
