Information icon Hello, I'm General Ization. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Toowoomba, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Toowoomba buses: facts vs opinions[edit]

If I might make a suggestion, with an encyclopedia, we tend to stay away from opinions unless we can present evidence that a significant number of people hold that opinion, e.g. a survey or someone from an organisation speaking on behalf of many others. And when we present an opinion on an issue, it is normal practice to ensure all the major viewpoints are given. It's fair to say in any city, there are always going to be some people unhappy with the public transport, while others are happy with it. So it is much easier to present the facts and letting the reader form their own opinion. You could for example say something along the lines of:

Suburbs such as Blah, Blah and Blah have hourly bus services between 6am and 10pm, while suburbs such as Blah and Blah only have services between 10am and 3pm. There are no bus services on Sunday in Toowoomba.

Now this information can be supported by citations linking to the online bus timetables. It's all fact, it's not opinion. Let people decide for themselves if this is an adequate service or not. Kerry (talk) 10:01, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
