Welcome![edit]

Hello, JoBo GamerYT, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:

  • When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimfbleak (talkcontribs) 16:28, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on JoBo Gamer Studios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Fram (talk) 10:37, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Despite the message above from Jimfbleak, you have again edited about a subject closely related to yourself. If you are connected to someone or something you have written about (a few examples are writing about yourself, your business, your band, a member of your family, your client) then you should be aware that Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline discourages you from writing about that subject. The main reason for that is that experience over the years indicates that editors with such a connection to a subject they are writing about are likely to find it very difficult, or even impossible, to stand back from their writing and see how it will look from the detached perspective of an outsider, so that they are likely to write in ways that look promotional to others, even if they sincerely think they are writing in a neutral way. Also, if your editing forms all or part of work for which you are paid, whether as an employee, as a contractor, or in any other capacity, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require you to state who is paying you, and what your connection to them is. Also, please bear in mind that promotional material of any kind is not permitted: that includes promoting or publicising yourself, your business, your YouTube channel, or anything else. Fake information[edit]

Why are you trying to convince to Wikipedia that your TV channels and "reboots" are real? Wikipedia is not a place for deliberately false information. Luigitehplumber (talk) 18:31, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2 things, 1 my channel is very real, and 2, would I lie to you? I don't even know you and u just come in my talk page like "you disgust me". Do you seriously have a problem with me? I spend shots tones of time running my channels that ARE real so you can mind your own darn business mr I'm correct Luigi. JoBo GamerYT (talk) 22:16, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigations[edit]

Luckily I happened to see the page Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/X khasials, which you created. However, it might well have been that nobody except you ever saw it, because you didn't create it in the correct way, so it doesn't appear in the list of open sockpuppet investigations, which administrators check. The right way to create an investigations is to go to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations, click on the link "How to open an investigation", and follow the instructions there. I will create the report for you properly, but considering that one account has not yet edited at all, and the other one not yet enough to justify a block, I am inclined to wait and see whether there's any more unacceptable editing from either account, and if so block both of them. Please feel welcome to contact me if you see any more from them.

One other point is that it's better to provide a link to the relevant Wikipedia log entry than to a screen shot of it on another web site, because if the screen shot is removed from that other site, the information will no longer be available on Wikipedia if it's ever needed in the future. For example, this link should work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=&user=&page=User%3AX+khasials&wpdate=&tagfilter=&wpfilters%5B%5D=newusers&wpFormIdentifier=logeventslist. JBW (talk) 13:12, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HI JBW, sorry about that before, was my first time making a sockpuppet inverigation and i was in a bit of a rush at the time so appologies about that. i will take this into my notes when doing similar in the future.
Thanks for the message. :3 JoBo Gamer (contribs) 13:53, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely don't worry about it at all. I made similar mistakes the first times I did various things on Wikipedia. Whether I did with SPIs I don't remember, but I certainly did with various other things, such as uploading images, and creating AfDs. We all have to learn. Incidentally, here's a direct link to the SPI, just in case it is helpful at all: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/X khasiat. JBW (talk) 16:21, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Another small point is that the accepted procedure is to file an investigation under the name of the earliest created account, in this case X khasiat, not X khasials. I wouldn't worry too much about that, because if you do it the other way round an SPI clerk will move the case to the correct username, but it does save a little trouble to do it in the accepted way. JBW (talk) 13:37, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:November 2024 events in Kenya indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 14:42, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi explicit. just looked back at this and i agree with this decision, appologies for any inconveniences caused.

LMS Jubilee Class: reversion of edit[edit]

I refer to your reversion of my recent edit to the LMS Jubilee Class article and the comment you left on my talk page. In that comment you referred to my removing content, and suggested in the title of your reversion that this was due to AGF (i.e. assuming that people are not deliberately trying to hurt Wikipedia, even when their actions are harmful). You suggested that I should include a citation in any further edit, and asked for feedback if I thought your reversion was in error. I responded on that page, and apologise if my initial annoyance came through in that response. I have not received any feedback from you on that page so I will also respond here as you requested.

The article as it stood had been only partially edited and therefore contained significant errors in the preservation section, mainly in that the preamble to the table was still based on 2023 information while the table itself had been updated to reflect changes in 2024. Clearly it is impossible for 45593 to be both at Tyseley (incorrect) and Carnforth, or for 45690 to be both operational (incorrect) and awaiting overhaul. The primary purpose of my edit was therefore to remove those errors. In doing so, I included a reference to a reliable source on both (Trackside Magazine's interview in May 2024 with David Smith, owner of West Coast Railways). Within the same edit, I also removed a limited amount of content as being no longer relevant, mainly relating to the former running at the ELR and the extension of the now expired boiler ticket, and I also took the opportunity to tidy some inconsistent descriptions.

Given I had included a recent citation from a reliable source in my edit, I am not sure why you considered it to be AGF or felt the need to revert it and thereby re-introduce the same errors and out of date citation, hence my frustration. However, I would like to resolve the situation and move forward, so I am letting you know that I intend to make substantially the same edit with the same citation. I will on this occasion do this in several steps so that it is clearer to other contributors exactly what I am changing and why in each case. I hope you feel this is reasonable. Thank you. Robin84F (talk) 14:53, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robin, could you please link me your original change to the article and your proposed changes?
This helps me check and see if this was a misunderstanding on my behalf. We editors and reverters do also make mistakes from time to time.
Also my appologies for not responding to your orginal message, sometimes i will not see messages unless i am @ed in them like so or they are made here on my talk page.
Once i have the revision links from you i will check if this was a mistake on mybehalf.
Thanks for your message, best wishes.

Best wishes,
