- Please, be so kind what do you mean by "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article".
- Please, put "Andrew Pohorille" into Google to get many references. One of them Research.com is used in this article. research.com for sure is an independent source. This is something what can be easily check. Another a very popular source is Research Gate. I di not put it because Research. com is more specific foor Andrew's Pohorille research. In accordance with Research.com he is the author or coauthor of 147 publications cited almost 12000. His works were good enough to bring him NASA Medal for Exceptional Scentific Achievements and pretty recently NASA Medal for Exceptional Service. If these achievements is not enough, what is? I look at some pages and CANNOT SEE ANY ACHIEVEMENTS. It never corssed my mind that somebody might do not trust Andrew's Pohorille credentials.
- Please, justify your opinion.

- I have just found this at the help page given by Wiki: " Academic and peer-reviewed publications are usually the most reliable sources. "
- And at the same time I got the information that 147 publications, are nothing? How is this possible?
- I put same publications into this article and always added DOI.
- For example, this one: In 2010 he was awarded (together with Eric Darve) H. Julian Allen Award for the article Calculating Free Energies Using Average Force, published in Journal of Chemical Physics 115 (November 22, 2001) 9169-9183.https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1410978
- Where is the problem?
- Please, explain. Thank you. Joanna.sokolowska (talk) 20:37, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- I looked into your article "Evacuation.....". What kind of independed sources are there? I coud not see any peer-reviewed publications.
- Am I right? Joanna.sokolowska (talk) 20:45, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Is Scopus good enough?
- https://www.scopus.com/results/authorNamesList.uri?name=name&st1=Pohorille&st2=Andrew&origin=searchauthorlookup
- This is information from ORCID, only about reviews he did:

- @ToadetteEdit Is there a chance that you could become my mentor and walk me through, step by step, what needs to be corrected in the article? I would be very grateful. Joanna.sokolowska (talk) 19:18, 29 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Joanna.sokolowska. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:05, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the information. I will follow your advice. Please, help me, I added some references and they disapperaed. What can I do? Joanna.sokolowska (talk) 21:50, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
References and hyperlinks
[edit]Hyperlinks are not allowed. Some of the URLs you have inserted as hyperlinks may be valid as references. See WP:REFB for how to create and insert references into the text. The software replaces the inserted ref with a superscripted number and adds the ref info to the numbered list of references. Ref formatting takes practice. Consider practicing in your own Sandbox, and pasting the ref into the article only when properly formatyted. David notMD (talk) 21:50, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. You are right. I did not know this before. I have just started to make proper references but everything disappeared. I do not know how to get it back? Joanna.sokolowska (talk) 21:55, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
