Welcome![edit]

Hello, JohnMiddlemas, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly. Please note that article talk pages are not a WP:FORUM for general discussion of the article's subject. Furthermore, all article content must be verifiable from reliable sources. This means, generally, that discussions on talk pages revolve about questions like "does source X support statement Y", "is source X a reliable source for statement Y", is "change Z to the article compliant with WP:POLICY P?" and so on. Venn diagram[edit]

So I found an error on the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Material_conditional just now. The Venn diagram is wrong. Should I not bring that up in the Talk page? Trouble is if you edit the actual page, then someone else often just deletes your edit. So I prefer the talk pages only, then a person who is keen on that page can do the edit if they agree with the talk comment. John Middlemas (talk) 23:13, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing wrong with making good faith edits to articles, be WP:BOLD. If someone reverts your edits, they have to explain their reasons. The first thing to do is to hit "View history", you should find a short explanation in the edit summary. If that doesn't satisfy you, ask your question on the article's talk page. If nobody replies, feel free to ask me, or just about anybody else. You'll find that Wikipedians are generally willing to help you out with useful information and tips.
