Just a friendly reminder to notify the creators of articles that are up for deletion. It's easy for new users to come away disheartened if they feel they don't have a stake in the process.--ragesoss 07:13, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

They are not automatic; unless the nominator notifies the creator, it may not happen at all. I contacted you to remind you to notify the creator whenever you nominate an article for deletion. Sorry about the unclear message.--ragesoss 07:32, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

"Small but lively" is not my opinion but a historical fact included in various publications, one of which is cited. I can give you further details, if you want. As for the real higher number of Poles, well you must diferentiate between ethnic Poles and self-declared Poles. As you probably know, Czech census is based on self-declaration and doesn't show the real numbers. Take the example of Roma people for example ... ... according to 2001 census there are 22 of them in the town (LOL), but in the latest municipal elections the Roma Democratic and Social Party started here with even more candidates :)). Think about it. - Darwinek 10:31, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

As for the Hungarian community here, it was really less numerous than the other groups of citizens, yet it ran several organizations including the locally famous and popular Hungarian Club, hence they were quite distinct in the city. As for the mixed ones, yes you are right it is sometimes quite difficult to determine someones' ethnicity. It is not a POV pushing from my side, I would do the same for the Czech minority, if some would be here. Point is e.g., my mom is Czech, dad is Polish, I was sent to the Czech school and in the census type "Czech" nationality. But still, I can be viewed as a half Pole / half Czech. That is the point, that it is not only black and white. - Darwinek 13:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
OK. -- Darwinek 13:29, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
OK. Your proposal seems very good, actually the city is a seat of many Polish organizations, although the Polish culture blossoms in other towns and villages. I understand you are living abroad. Do you plan to visit Těšín somewhen ? - Darwinek 13:47, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
The whole case is more complicated, local Polish organizations doesn't always represent link to Poland :)). It is a long and complicated story. :) However, if you would be lucky to appear in the region, I would be grateful to do a guide for you and pay you a beer. :) (Polish part of city has a brewery). - Darwinek 14:04, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
No problem, I will translate all stuff. Most of citizens of the whole town (CS+PL) speak with local dialect, even more fun for you :). - Darwinek 14:18, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
I am glad, too. :) Feel free to contact me anytime when you will need something or when you will have any comments or proposals. - Darwinek 14:30, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Sig

Yeah sorry about that. I've been getting complaints from its size, color, fonts, etc. However that was my old sig. My new one isn't as long or flasy or complex. -ЯՄՊՏɧѱ/ 21:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
