Hi there,
My colleague just informed me to write his comments. Rest assured that only me (John) is using this account. — Preceding unsigned comment added by John Stroject (talkcontribs) 14:12, 8 July 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Great, thanks. Please try to make this clear for any future comments though, to avoid future confusion for any other editors. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 15:13, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File query

[edit]

Hi again John - sorry to bother you, but can I get some clarification on the files you've uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons? (see list). According to Jay's message on my talk page, the photos were taken by your company's photographer. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this either places the files' copyrights in the hands of the photographer, or Huawei if the photographer transferred the rights to the company. Assuming you're not the photographer (apologies if you are), the listed source and author for each file (you) is incorrect. To accept these images, these images need to be updated with the proper source and authors, and proof of permission to freely license these photographs under the specified licenses will need to be sent from the copyright owner to the Common's OTRS volunteers. See Commons:Permission for more information about this. The copyright owner of the images can send permission for each file using this form, which also provides instructions. Please get back to me and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 20:55, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

reply to File query

[edit]

Hi there ~SuperHamster
Your suggestions are always appreciated ;)
Those pictures uploaded have indeed been taken by myself, with my own Canon camera. Do I still need to do the copyright thing you mentioned above?
Please do clarify me on this. Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by John Stroject (talkcontribs) 08:16, 9 July 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick reply and clarification! The pictures you took yourself are perfectly fine. Jay's message to me lead to a bit of confusion - sorry to bother. I did notice a couple pictures (File:1-ars.JPG and File:1-Demo.JPG) are attributed to Jaypaul in their metadata, however. If you took these using his camera or something, that's fine - otherwise, their authorship information should be updated and permission should be submitted by Jaypaul as I outlined above. Cheers, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 15:00, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
