Lenox article[edit]

Well done on your recent additions to the Lenox article. I made some small changes to the references. Keep up the good work. --BwB (talk) 02:03, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You mean 'Lennox' presumably? As in Annie Lennox (see, I'm getting better at this!) John Cossham, York, UK 10:31, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

OK, BwB, thanks for checking my addition... but how do I say (other than in 'Talk', where I do say that we had a guided tour with the curator who had worked with Lennox herself to create the exhibition) that this info was 'word of mouth'? Basically, the curator of the exhibition told us the history of how it came to be, but there's no written evidence, just what she told us about working with Annie Lennox. I'd love to know how you 'cite' this kind of information. John Cossham, York, UK 10:37, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Dalek (disambiguation)[edit]

Hi Johncassham, thanks for your message about my edit to Dalek (disambiguation) and I'll try to answer your question. Disambiguation pages are like the index of a book in that they guide readers to content in the book. If the topic isn't mentioned in the book, it shouldn't be listed in the index. The term Dalek isn't mentioned in Compost, so I removed it from the disambiguation page. If 'dalek' is an important name for compost bins, it should first be added to Compost with a WP:reliable source; then it could be included on the disambiguation page.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. Please do so here, rather than by email. If you start a message right here, and begin it with {{ping|Leschnei}}, it will ping me that I have a message. Leschnei (talk) 12:35, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
